Amen brother. You are very well spoken. Why couldn't you be the story writer on this game? I LOVE the idea of Guardians frantically rushing back to the Last City to defend against countless enemies and being dropped into an all-out, chaotic battle. I feel very disconnected from the storyline of this game, but also from the community. The social aspects are minuscule, to say the least. Unfortunately I bought into the hype and "10 year plan" promise... I don't see myself playing this game next year or even a few months from now. As much as I really want to love it.
