There hasn't been any proof that any of this was "cut" from the original. Just thought I would mention that, its an assumption that plagues these forums.

Actually it is proven. If you search up some YouTube videos on people glitch in through walls and getting into closed areas you'll see completely rendered environment and most areas are plagued with enemies and even bosses. I know one I saw looks like reksis/archon dude or whatever his name is from the warp drive mission on earth. These places have been cut this much I know. Places left for speculation are Venus and Mars. On Venus there is a chamber with a column of light guarded by enemies. Next is Mars on black garden mission. Right after you defeat the divisive mind instead of running toward the heart head the other path and look right. Big wall of light that repulses you every attempt to enter. Lastly I found something odd on earth. Head to the forgotten shore on earth and enter the building by the shore. Head down and there is hive majors/ultras in which one is rather difficult and is even adorned with a fancy name. Not just chosen knight or hollowed knight. I digress. It's proven even if some refuse to see the facts in front of them.

None of this is proof of anything, the areas people glitched into are not finalized playable content. Its obvious from their unfinished nature that they are placeholders for content to come. The geometry in some isn't even finished, much less the ai encounters and actual design. The discovery of said areas has people assuming that they are the full, ready to ship DLC missions, even though there is no actual proof to that effect.
-
Glitch areas that look just as playable as the ones shipped day one plus enemy ai is smart enough to fight back? Your free to think what you want but come dlc time and those areas open up looking exactly as they did today? I won't be the one looking a fool.
-
Yeah, except its obvious from watching those videos, that those spaces are not complete, unfinished geometry, complete lack of ai in some cases. The point here is that it is far more likely that these areas where left unfinished and closed off when the game released because the dev team had not finished them yet. They even said in a recent interview that the content had just been completed. At the moment, its all a bunch of assumptions because people are eager to point fingers and scream when they don't understand the nature of game development.

Forgive my auto correct and lack of proof read.

Haha, no worries.

Never said all spaces were complete. If you read back through my replys I never mentioned all were fully ready to go. Just in most cases ai is complete and aside from being glitches out of the map once you renter the playable area the "geometry" is complete. Maybe you aren't researching enough or just haven't seen the videos I have. Point here is there are complete areas with ai that were cut. Bungie through up a couple of doors and said no entry. Players have entered and found oh look enemies, oh look a boss, what's this? Revive dead ghost? So yeah there are some that may have been unfinished but there are also places that were reserved so bungee could slap a dlc sticker on it and charge $20. Don't get me wrong I've already bought it so obviously I will download. Destiny is still a fun game from day one till now. For me when you say dlc I get excited thinking new exciting locations are gonna open up. Maybe a new planet or two. I get my hopes up to find out it's just part of the same map just opening a door to play in a small area for 2 minutes tops and then complete. Back to orbit let's run the same strike five times in a row.

When it comes right down to it, its not unusual for devs to put unfinished content in with the final game as well. If they were only able to finish a small amount, its worth it for it to be on the disc, so that not as much has to be downloaded when the rest of said content is released. As much as its possible some of these areas may be part of the DLC when it is released, the argument that we are paying for content that is finished and already included on the disc is just ridiculous.
-
The problem here is that you are still assuming that these areas will be part of the DLC, especially considering they have since removed AI from more than one of them. If you really want to believe that there won't be new areas for you to explore and new content in general, be my guest, but it might do you good to not fall in with the speculation/accusation crowd.
-
You keep bringing up the speculations and crowd but these are my own conclusions I'm drawing here. I'm not saying there won't be new areas at all. You don't seem to be understanding what I'm writing. I'm merely pointing out these areas that were cut are fillers to make the dlc look beefier than what it really is. I'm open minded in most respects but I have come to the conclusion there are areas that will be released in the near future that we already know will be opened up. I never posted attempting to persuade anyone to my point of view and I certainly don't troll other people's comments. I only vented my frustrations and concerns for those who feel the same. Not to start up a debate. I didn't find you and attempt to persuade you to my way of thinking. You found me and after such decided to post. Seems there's doubt even in your mind about these areas and it's not me your trying to convince but yourself.

Im open to the possibility that some of it will be introduced in the future as DLC, but I do not believe that it was intentionally delivered ready to play on the disc as is the assertion made by the original post here. I apologize if I misunderstood your intention.
