So we get 1 strike 1 raid, 3 story missions and 3 multiplayer maps. That was cut from the game and we are paying $20.00 more for this? This was already finished prior to launch, the way you treat your community, your loyal fans is disgusting. This should of already been included in the game.
Bump if you agree.

"Shouldn't of" doesn't mean anything. I think you mean shouldn't have.
-
It was not finished. They just finished making it. This DLC has been in development since the game launched. More than likely, once Destiny went gold, or even before then, they split the team up, while some people were finishing making Destiny, others were working on DLC.
-
The game they released in September was complete. They also advertised two expansions, the first of which would be released in December. That will also be complete upon release. Try and keep withing the context of what's being talked about. The people trying to say it turned into DLC because they didn't finish it in time for the September release are wrong as it was advertised as an expansion from day one.
-
I thought you were saying it was finished when the game released and saved for DLC. What I'm saying is, this DLC was not finished when the game came out.
-
It may have been, it may not have been... it's not really relevant. At no time did they say these expansions would be part of the base game in September. They were advertised and sold separately from day one. All these crybabies need to learn to be more aware consumers, or their parents need to smarten up.

Bump. I wish I knew this before I bought an Xbox one just to play destiny. The worst part is Bungie makes it hard to find out about this stuff. If you click the link it doesn't even own up to the fact that you get an extra strike if you're on PS. You would think Sony would want them to advertise it... I would have bought a PS4 if I knew, but apparently Bungie knows how messed up it is so they want to keep it hidden from players who don't do their research
-
It was in literally all the advertising on any site where the game was being sold. Seriously, all you had to do was Google it, or read the description of the game on Bungie's website, Gamestop, hell even Walmart.
-
Looked all over bungie.net Amazon and GameStop trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about. Turns out I was making one big mistake : I wasn't selecting the PS4 edition. Not advertised on the XB editions.
-
So wait... you expect MS to allow them to advertise on the Xbox edition of a game that you're going to miss out on PS exclusives? Lol. You're hilarious kid. Also, you said you bought a new gen console just to play Destiny. How is it you didn't look at the Destiny Edition of the PS4 then? Here's some advise for you for your future console purchases: If they make a special edition of a console for a game, it's almost guaranteed there are some exclusives.
-
Well I stopped playing games for 10 years throughout undergrad and a Ph. D, guess I'm not used to how they screw you over these days. Only got a console so I can play with coworkers. Thanks for being condescending though. If people had backbones these days companies wouldn't profit from doing this shit.
-
Edited by LegendarySyn: 10/30/2014 2:56:02 AMWell, having not purchased something in 10 years would lead a smart consumer to research MORE thoroughly, not less thoroughly. And exclusives like that have been around for 14 years that I know of, probably longer. Also, if you have a Ph.D. you should be smart enough to understand that you having not researched what you were buying and having not seen all the crystal clear advertising does not mean they have screwed you over. The commercials for Destiny that I saw on cable, Hulu, and the trailers online were pushing for the sale of the PS4 Destiny Edition console because of the PS exclusives. You really have nobody to blame but yourself.

shoulder charge.

I know right! What an awful company for being the first to pioneer such a ridiculous thing called DLC. Ass holes! This is inhumane!!
-
But they specifically said they don't want it to feel like DLC. They want it to feel like an expansion, but by the looks of it, it's DLC. And even less for us xb people out there. $20? No thanks
-
Expansions are DLC... They advertised it as two expansions and told us how much it would cost. They even included it FOR FREE in every edition of the game except the base (standard) no-frills edition.
-
It wasn't free. You had to pay 90 for the limited edition.
-
Edited by LegendarySyn: 10/30/2014 2:29:34 AMNo, it was free. The limited edition included a fancy box, special book, a ghost skin, emblem and ship, and for ordering that I got the season pass for free. FREE. Same was true of the Ghost Edition. Yet another case of someone not paying any attention to what they were buying.
-
Dude it's was $90-100 I'm not sure but it was between those prices. They pretty much just said "hey pay $30-40 more dollars which is how much the expansion cost to get a special book and tin which shouldn't cost extra" they had the consumer just buy the expansion pretty much on top of the $60 game
-
No sparky. At the time the expansion pass was included for pre-ordering the limited ($90) and ghost editions ($150). That was the added incentive to buy those editions, to get the extras they included and have the $35 pass thrown in FOR FREE. They've since decided to include the expansion pass in both of those editions anyway now that you can't pre-order the game anymore. Even if you look at the way they're packaged today, you're paying $30 more for the limited edition and you get the display box, metal case, special book and post cards (which have codes for more in game stuff on them), a ghost skin, an emblem, a ship, AND the expansion pass for the next two DLC's... all for a mere $30. The added content for limited editions is standard practice, and they almost always cost at least $90. You must live under a rock. Even if you didn't want all the other in game stuff, you would have saved yourself $5 on the expansion pass or $10 buying each DLC separately, just from having been a smart enough consumer to buy the limited edition. The pricing of the expansions was available the entire time, so there's really no excuse.
-
The game they released didn't feel like a game either - just Arcitecture for filling their wallets at our expense.
-
I don't care what you want to call it. All it is doing for me is expanding my already purchased game. Call it what you will, for me it's a fun way to spend my time. I'm not complaining. If it was $10 would you all quit bitching and crying?

-
Hey smarty its called an mmo. Ever played one? Most you pay about 15 bucks a month. And then for some on top of that you still have to pay extra for the dlcs.
-
You sound as dumb as Caboose... Destiny is not an MMO. Learn what it is before ragging on someone else for not understanding. Massively Multiplayer does not equal 16 players in the world at once. Micro Multiplayer maybe...
-
Well the play style of destiny you couldnt play with large amounts. Its not straight designed as mmo. Its made to feel like an mmo. if you had to kill phogoth but could have 300 people doing it at once the game would have no point.
