... you had to bring your little brother along because you got stuck as the babysitter.
To be clear, this is just a joke. Not hating. At the moment, still enjoy Destiny. BUT, with the amount of /suspected/ in game features that feel like they were left out to accommodate the last gen capabilities and dumbing down some of the story to be more comprehensible to youngsters; it's what it feels like to me. Like, how the dropships register hit points but only the turrets are destructible. Also, the marketed playable area's outside of the Cosmodrome wall and how much larger the maps could have been. Also, also, being able to control your ship in orbit and do more with it than just be a load screen. There's a big part of me (the YouTube conspiracy part) that suspects these things actually were planned to be in this game. But, to not exclude the last gen consoles, there needed to be limits so that the machine could actually handle the load without compromising framerate.
IF any of that is true, I ain't mad. I get it. This next gen console adoption has been really slow in comparison to releases in the past. It makes sense to try to accommodate to the largest market possible.
TL/DR: Playing Destiny is like getting invited to the most epic party of the century, but you have to bring your baby brother along with you.
