sucks to be an Xbox player... again.
Playstation gets another exclusive strike until fall 2015. my condolences Xbox players. It looks like Sony really spent a shit ton of money for exclusivity.

Edit 2: wow people still think this is a whine post. Those who do are idiots. I typed 3 sentences. The first was stating a fact. The 2nd was me expressing my sorrow for xbox people. The 3rd was me thinking Sony really spent a shit ton of money on exclusivity.

I'd rather see all timed-exclusives stop. Nobody should get screwed over just because a company uses this stupid practice rather than spend money on making a decent game.

If Sony comes out with a controller where the sticks are in the same place as the Xbox then I'd buy a Playstation. Xbone is a POS system that can't handle today's games, but the controller is still superior and that is the only reason why I haven't gone back to Playstation.

Money is Bungie's end-game, as it is for any company. They can hype up being pro-consumer, but the fact is if they're not profitable, they can't run. Sometimes they resort to exclusive content as a tactic to secure additional money. It's an unfortunate practice which I wish did not exist.

1 ReplyLol all this hate for bungie, pretty sure activision is pulling the strings here. Since Sony threw Benjamin's all over the place. You think maybe bungie made a bad move leaving Microsoft? At least they only had to deal with one other company. Now they have to deal with 2 companies? One of which that filed bankruptcy and the other of which is money hungry and is known to control the gaming world like puppets? Lol bad decision on Bungies part to leave one of the greatest companies in American HISTORY.

No body know's why Bungie/Activision chose to make Destiny DLC exclusive to PS. The speculation doesn't help. All of you think it was just because of money. Maybe Activision wants a DLC exclusive franchise for PS user as it already had COD for xbox users. Maybe Bungie had a "falling out" with MS and took Sonys offer, regardless of the dollar amount. Maybe developers dislike the kinect and choose the PS4 as the platform of the future to focus on. Or maybe, just maybe, Bungie pitched Destiny to MS and they said no, make another Halo. So Bungie went elsewhere.

As a person who's been on the good side of exclusives for a long time, I can't really complain, but I do think it sucks. I'm mainly an xbox player, I have a ps2-4, so I could have gotten it on there, but I just prefer xbox for online. I just wish exclusive content would stop, if you're gonna go exclusive, make just the game for one system.

1 ReplyPersonally, I think exclusivity on any console or any platform is a bad thing. I love Bungie, but they have got t stop making things exclusive to any platform. If they really want to get the most out of their community, they need to make their game available to all platforms, except for platforms that will significantly diminish quality like a DS or something like that.

8 RepliesI've supported Bungie for a long time. Had Halo: CE in my hands the day it released along with the original Xbox. Loyalty means something to me. That's mostly why I own an Xbox One. For other reasons that people can easily guess, I was on the fence on whether or not I would buy DLC for Destiny (Xbox One version). The news today about the additional content for PS4 (call it a timed exclusive or whatever, it doesn't really matter) is what finalized my decision. I won't be buying it. If you enjoy the game, great. I know that I am owed nothing and thus, I expect nothing. Instead of complaining about this, that and the other thing, I'm simply going to walk away. I'm voting with my wallet. The Master Chief Collection is dropping in two weeks. I think I'll gladly go back and enjoy Bungie's work from their Golden Age. I never wanted to leave it behind anyway.

I feel bad for those that got suckered into the "Collectors Edition". Honestly. I MIGHT give this expansion a whirl...and if its not more than than visually stunning as hell (the one good thing there is about this game), I'll just have to call it quits.
