We have been playing the Vault Of Glass this evening and have experienced many problems that I have been reporting.
however I saw something whilst at the final boss that took me by surprise
and thought that bungie might like to take a look at it.
When we reached the final boss Atheon he spawned in as normal and walked on down the steps, he reached the bottom and began firing at us, he then after a few seconds continued walking forwards and upwards as if he was climbing an invisible set of stairs! this left him floating high above the square platform bellow!
At first I thought might be lag, only to find that everyone else in the fireteam saw it too! we continued regardless and he continued to do it 3-4 more times.
I am presuming that it is being caused by the recent patch which not only has broken the game to the point that people can not play due the the increasing zoo of animals that is currently collecting on their consoles but has more or less screwed the raid too seeing as Atheon can now come closer than ever making it stupidly hard to avoid his attacks......
I don't know what you guys at bungie are doing but if I were you I would pull my head out of my ass and roll back the patch as this is just getting stupid now....
I would like to know if anyone else has had the same issue with Atheon? if so please leave a comment bellow, I didn't have chance to take a pic but will be back on the raid tomorrow and will try to get a pic of him doing it again.

Us too. A lot of glitches. Teleported 4 people a couple times, 1 person a couple times. Atheon had a automatic torch hammer. A lot of glitches coming out of the portals. Atheon disappeared at one point for about 30 seconds. We had atheon to a sliver of health and one more round would have killed him and as soon as we came out of the portal he Teleported us back without giving us a chance to attack and the portal team were blind upon entering and died. Total bullshit. After 40+ wipes we gave up.

Spent over 4 hours straight on Aetheon on NORMAL and was forced to give up. If the connectivity issues from earlier today didn't leave a bad enough taste in my mouth, my raid party experienced countless glitches surrounding Aetheon and the gates. Also, is it me or did the Axis Minotaur in the Venus gate get a substantial damage buff? I've beaten the raid a few times with lower level characters and never by forcing Aetheon off a cliff, but post-patch Aetheon feels like Hard mode. And somehow, even on attempts where no glitches occurred, the difficulty seemed to have spiked. It's not my team; everyone knew what they were doing (or at least starting a quarter of the way in). How did a patch designed to prevent an exploit for beating Aetheon suddenly break the entire boss battle and still fail to block the exploit (according to many players).

Edited by Drakiir84: 10/29/2014 9:16:06 PMIt took us 5 attempts to kill atheon and that's only because there were portal glitches in the first 4 attempts. On a few timestreams no one even got ported! On others the game only sent 1. Pre-patch we had seen the 2 portal glitch a lot and it just doesn't make sense that they decide to completely change the encounter before fixing what was already wrong with it.

Atheon can still be push off bungie is stupid they -blam!-ed up the raid. Made it easier for me tho did the pushing SOLO today in the 35 secs before he teleports everyone

My group cleared it about 2 hours ago. We had two people teleported on one of our attempts, but three people were dead, so it might have been intended. Other than that, we didn't see any noticeable glitches.
