Bought the game for 360, then the Limited Edition for One

Story ahead! ---> Ok, so I bought Destiny when it came out for 360 (Probably should have went digital to upgrade to One, but I didn't like a foolish fool.) Next thing I know, I'm hearing about how nice the Limited Edition is, and I thought, "Well, I love Destiny, want to have it for when I get the One in a week, and I want to get the Expansion Pass and those neat Limited Edition goodies. So, why not just get the Limited Edition for One? Kill two birds with one stone." So, I get my Limited Edition for One, everything's all well and good, until I find out that not even the DLC downgrades. I found that to be... a tad annoying. The Point! ---> The point is, it feels like punishment for going out and actually supporting the game. I spent $160 just so I can have a nice Limited Edition for next gen, and the ability to play with last gen friends. Yet, you are asking for $40 more just so I can play DLC content with them when it comes out in December. Now, I understand that the first expansion isn't out yet, so I don't know how it would work out. But, something about not being able to download Xbox One content on 360 seems to point to the idea that I will most likely not be able to play the content with my friends on 360. Now, Bungie, as much as I'd love to play the next gen. You are simply asking me to leave behind my Fireteam to do so, and that is not something I can do. We've been through the hardest of Nightfalls together, conquered every level 28 Weekly Heroic thrown at us, and banded six of us together to conquer the Vault of Glass. Yet, simply because they are on 360, there is a chance that we will have to part ways for the next Raid to come our way. I ask you as a Guardian, Bungie, to at least assure those who've made the same mistake I have, that their DLC, especially the Expansion Pass will be able downgrade to last gen.

  • So much this! I am in total agreement sir. I actually bought the Xbox One Limited Edition first, and then bought the 360 version because most of my friends haven't upgrade yet, and I wanted to play with them. But I'm not very happy that my DLC won't be "backwards compatible", and that I can't use my pre order sparrow, limited edition ship and ghost skin on my 360. All of our character info is saved server side, which means Bungie knows I paid for the stuff included in Limited Edition. It should work on both consoles, without me having to shell out more money. It is literally the least you could do Bungie, implement some "downgrading" of DLC as the OP mentioned.
