I miss halo's glory days, way back when gaming was amazing. The 1-50 scale for skill was great. It was highly rewarding because you could show your friends how high of a rank you could get. With this all being said, I'm excited for Halo: Master Chief Collection. 4v4 TS will be amazing. So back to the topic, Destiny does not reward skill. There is no way to show off how skilled you are at this game. Sure you can show off rank, but it's not saying much. Really. Think about it, people who have 30's have gotten lucky to say the least. You can't even show off if you're a level 30 cause all you're doing is telling everyone how lucky you've gotten, countless times. In conclusion, this game is not at its full potential. Clearly destiny isn't everything it should've been, from the horrid story that could be easily completed to the unbalanced multiplayer.

Skill? When talking about Halo, skill is just a short way of saying "power weapon whoring and teabagging". In Destiny's general PvE, you need better gear and your perks more than you need skill. Attempting things like nightfall strikes and raids require a significantly better gear and perks than just a simple daily mission though. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut if you want everyone to have the same guns and jump abilities, there's another community you should probably cry to.

Beating the raid is the skill the rewards are just that rewards. Raids in general always have a random loot drop since your suppose to beat it multiple time. Some MMOs have a raid currency system where you can buy the raid gear if it does not drop or if you don't win a need roll.
