Edited by V4SKUNK: 10/28/2014 8:42:23 PMBeta testers do not even do 1% of what a QA tester does. QA testers do so much game breaking and grinding that when they have finished the project they despise the game i don't want to touch it ever again. QA testing even involves checking for grammar errors and other really boring crap thatyou would not even think of.

Yup that's why I said glorified QA testers. I know exactly what you mean I had to QA test the multiplayer of open season on the PSP, to this day I still get angry when the film is on.

Beta testing is nothing like QA testing. Beta test is just to stress servers. Nothing more.

-blam!- me you dense mother-blam!-er I KNOW Tell a beta tester that though and they will argue the toss with you and talk about how they do this and do that. Hence the GLORIFIED If you are a QA tester and that's why you are getting so testy at being compared to a beta tester then I got news for you, a computer can do 90% of your job now so get off your high horse. It's a shit job with way to much hype.

Qa testing leads into positions such as being a producer which is a top notch desirable job. Try again.

It did actually he could have said he's been a dog walker for 15 years, it has just as much validity to the subject at hand. Beta testing has -blam!- all to do with game design.

They are not on thesame level as QA testers by a long shot. They are more like the people that get paidby marketing companies to be in a crowd to make it look big. The only thing Beta testers do in reality is stress testing, on occassion a few out of the thousands actually post bugs on a consistent basis.

That's true I should have said glorified QA testers.
