Defense rating really only helps negligibly. Also, a 25 can do fine. It's about learning and playing well. I've carried people playing as a 25 :p
I mean yeah, level 30 is [i]better[/i], but it's not required whatsoever.

Yeah, if all you're worried about is winning then that's definitely the way to go. I just prefer the more fun players, and less experience usually means more fun
