Well?
You have the time to nerf the Mythoclast and adjust values for Scout Rifles across the board within the same time span, but don't have the time to buff the exotics you stated you were going to adjust over a month ago? At the time when you announced the buffs, 99% of the community didn't even know the Mythoclast existed. Yet, the Mythoclast got adjusted before the other guns get their already announced buffs? Do you even logic?
There's really no excuse for it at this point.
Edit: I realize some of you think the Thorn does not need a buff, and while that's fine (I don't have it, I don't know), it's also missing the point. The real focus here is the fact that Bungie announced that they were going to buff both the Bad Juju and Thorn over a month ago, yet no changes have been made still (but changes were made to other guns during the same time frame).

Bad juju was my first exotic. Even before I bought from xur. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. I have the bounty for thorn. The only one I havent chosen is super good advice. Bad juju is terrible, inaccurate, weak hits, small mag and really nothing special. I have a hand cannon I use that should be thorn. I have used it on the raid many times to much success. It has super fast reload after precision kills, a 10 round mag that can be bumped to 13, and hip fire accuracy. It's a real beast. I am really not going to finish thorn until these buffs are released. Why would the exotics exist if so many players prefer the legendaries? Why have them at all? What is the point in killing slots to use an exotic unless it's going to be just slightly op? Just give you something extra? As players who value loot ( this is a loot based game whether you like it or not), why would you not want that. I'm not talking ohk's. Simply a small bonus or a slight accuracy boost or something.
-
In pvp Bad JuJu isn't that bad.. It's not easy to use though and definitely isn't up to par with things like suros..
-
I would like them to fix Thorne at least... It was nerfed in the latest update.
-
-
I have bad juju, Honestly at the moment it's not as bad as people think it is. It could stand to use a big buff though. I currently have it stock without string of curses. Critical hits are nice on it but the few rounds on the clip, just no.The buff Im wanting to see is triple the impact and double the clip. For the thorn I'd say increase impact and add instant reload with precision kill. I do not have thorn though.

Why would thorn need more bullets? that would make it's ability for final round useless or weaker. a 6 round mag with final round is perfect. if the mag were 10 rounds you would never see the bonus from final round, sure, you could change the ability and extend the mag size but if youre not going to change the final round ability the mag size needs to be low. I DO use thorn. almost fully grown too. Its a good gun, i liked TDYK alot. but the mark of the devourer is invaluable in all content. this is why i think some commenters are on the unintelligent side. the DoT whether it stacks or not slows and prevents recovery while you're reloading. and in higher content that is a priceless ability. I do think the reload speed sucks that should for sure be fixed. besides the reload speed I would like to see a boost to final rounds ability, double damage on last bullet would make this really stand out. Typing on a laptop IDC about typos.

Thorn could do with 8 rounds and a stacking DOT. This is generally an area where Bungie has a way to go. There are a number of exoctics that do not have the needed "weight" or "presence" to make them feel truely exotic, and they are outdone by their legendary little brothers. If you compare stats on Thorn to TDYK, Thorn is outdone across the board, except on ROF. I think the exotics need to be positively unbalanced just a little bit to make them slightly better than the legendaries. But that is of course a vicious cycle, as everyone calls out OP, OP, OP, if something does stands out. So this a question the community needs to agree on; can we accept slightly positively unbalanced exotics?

Anyone else think bungiehelp could solve both thorn and juju by just switching the perks with each other think about it a accurate hip fire handgun that reloads on precision kills and a burst rifle that does damage over time even the gun stats seem like they are opposite of where they should be.

Just got the Bad Juju this weekend, I'm working on leveling up (thankfully all of my characters have the Nightfall bonus and for Xur selling Pulse Rifle Telemetries this weekend), but damn, at this early stage it is pretty painful to use. I can really see why people would be pretty turned off on it instantly.

Edited by mikieatton: 10/30/2014 8:43:43 PMBad Juju doesn't have 15 shots, it has 5 bursts. For a 5 shot weapon, it should hit harder. It should be able to kill with 5 shots (the entire mag) the same as guns designed for similar distances. I would suggest making the burst 2 bullets, instead of 3, upping the damage to equal the 3 round burst. The 2 round burst would also reduce recoil drift. Make the mag 16, to give a total shots per reload count to 8.
-
Thorn needs a slightly bigger mag size and better reload speed, that's it. The weapon is easy to use even without these..
-
Idk if I'm the only person that is thinking this, but who even ever said that "exotics" were supposed to be better than lengendaries? I mean I never thought that an exotic was supposed to be STRONGER really...but have an ability that gives you an edge in battle(which they do). Doesn't this make more sense or am I just off here?

No matter which way they choose, their always gonna have people complaining. They did nerf some weapons, but that was for obvious reasons. They are not entirely sure yet what to do with the upgrades (by assumption), and are currently discussing it along with the DLC we're awaiting. They were obviously not ready to release the buffs, if there are any ready for deployment at this point. Now if they have them currently ready, and their holding them out; that's a different story. If they were to release update after update we would have MORE complaints. Their best bet is to simply wait for The Dark Below DLC to drop, to drop the buffs. That way multiple issues are being addressed at once, instead of nitpicking little exotics because 12 people are complaining about getting it and not using it. To be quite frank in the end, I don't think Thorn needs a buff in the crucible. I hold down a combination of Thorn, Found verdict, and a machine gun (which I forgot the name of) and the Thorn does just fine. Lingering damage REALLY pisses people off and leaves them confused, before receiving a shotgun shell to the side of the head. If not, I take the 3 shot headshot for the kill, or 2 in the head slip a third in the body and let lingering damage take it away. 6 bullets is more then enough, you can kill 2 people easily with it as long as you're a good shot. If you're not a good shot, why did you sign up for a hand cannon anyway? It isn't a spray and pray weapon such as auto and pulse rifles. It is for people with an accurate shot under heavy fire. But, again it is NOT a PvE weapon. If PvE is your bag, stick to any other weapon. But if you enjoy the crucible, work on your strategies with the Thorn and I can promise you'll have a blast. I end as I began, Bungie is always gonna have people complaining. If you guys are so fantastic at this go design a game from head to toe that millions of people play on the daily for a minimum of 3 hours, then go work on your buffs and nerfs for each individual weapon while having another million complaining about individual guns after nerf/buff. I wish you luck. This is sad guys, I remember when playing a game meant PLAYING a game. Not complaining about it.

They stated they are looking at ways to make the upgrading process of exotics more interesting. It would be retarded to buff those two weapons and THEN re-release with new upgrade system hitting all exotics. Any logical free-thinking human realized when they announced a change to upgrade process on exotics understood they will likely release thorn/bad juju buffs along with that.

Don't forget the mythoclast rebuff they promised :'(
-
They cant give any timelines but sometime around the DLC would be a decent expectation Also purchase the Dark Below DLC for $19.99 Read more here: http://www.bungie.net/en/event/darkbelow

Edited by JasGrant: 10/27/2014 8:30:54 PMI have Thorn fully leveled. It's an interesting weapon which I use when I'm not trying to do something critical. I use it on Mars against the Cabal. It's about the only use for it I've found that out weighs the slow load and limited shots. I would appreciate a buff to this weapon. It needs just a hint of change. 8 bullets maybe? An increase in reload or a chance to reload faster on occasion. The issue I have with it is that in most cases it doesn't deal any more damage than The Devil You Know which I also have fully leveled. If I want to do something critical or need a real hand cannon, that's the one I use. Thorn is a liability and gets me killed in melee attacks all the time. If something is charging at me i don't have time to reload or switch out. I have to apply better strategies when using Thorn. For me it's a novelty and I generally use it for doing bounties. When it comes to strikes and raiding, this is not a weapon I want in hand. It's a shame they have yet to address it. I also have bad juju but never use it. One disappointing weapon is enough. edit: grammar mistake :(

You have to pay the $35 to get the "buff."
-
Couldn't agree more. When I have alternative choices of exotics like Hard light, ice breaker or Suros the last gun id use is Thorn. Poor stability, slow reload and a 6 mag chamber is something I'd expect on a rare lv14 hand cannon, not an exotic...

Buff--er, bump.

The buff will most probably be release together with the expansion.

Bungie actually dun messed up
