It can be Legendary or Exotic tier. Explain why please.
If you plan on telling me the Thorn, I already have it.
EDIT: Don't recommend Hawkmoon, It's PlayStation exclusive.
EDIT 2: I kept reading "The Last Word" exotic and "The Devil You Know" legendary. I just need RNG to aid me on exotic one...
Pretty much I may just go with TDYK next week when my token cap resets. For now, Onwards with the Thorn!
EDIT 3: With different responses, I may try to acquire with marks or luck [May add more in future]:
-The Chance (FWC) for grenades cooldown to go with Armamentarium & 100% discipline
-The Last Word (Exotic) for badassery
-The Hawkmoon (Exotic) because people are still recommending it despite my first edit
If the Handcannon you wanted to recommend is not on the list, it's due to reasons not shown here.
It doesn't mean I won't try them, but I think of them as a bonus.
Got the Devil You Know. It already feels good to use.
I hope anyone who checks this post out can also benefit from your recommendations

I went with Lord High Fixer for a few reasons. 1. Faster reload upgrade 2. Increase Range while aiming upgrade 3. Radar while aiming upgrade Those three push it above The Devil You Know for me. I'd love to get my hands on Fatebringer but haven't been that lucky yet.
-
Well get hawk moon, it'll just be available next September. (I feel a whole year was a bit much, 3 months is a long time, speaking for game life.)
-
The fate bringer is really good. It's a raid weapon. Killed enemies explode with headshots.
-
The Regulator mk56 is a rare, so its pretty easy to get. Has an 11 round mag by default and very high impact. The one I used to have had outlaw (precision kills drastically increased reload) and send it (increased range and accuracy). It served me well for so long, I think I racked up at least 5000 kills with it alone.

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 10/28/2014 1:23:37 AMI like The Devil You Know. 1. It's vanguard, so you can use vanguard marks rather than crucible, easier to obtain via dailies, weekly, strike playlist etc. 2. Decent damage. 3. Scout perk giving you 13 rounds PLUS max HC ammo (117 rounds)... enough said After experiencing TDYK fully upgraded you'll do one of two things with Thorn. Dismantle it or toss it in your vault. What a POS. Less than 1/2 the mag of TDYK, no max ammo, and almost 25% longer to reload. F**k that thing.

I like lord high fixer a lot better than the devil. matter of preference though. the last word is my favorite so far but I don't have hawkmoon yet either
-
To be honest, it's personal preference and what you have access to. I've used hand cannons since the beta. I've used the auto rifles a tiny bit, and the pulse rifles a little more, but I always go back to the comfort of the hand cannons. I think it all comes down to what what's important to you when defending yourself. Do you like to have a large number of rounds? If so, you can't go wrong with TDYK or Lord High Fixer, both awesome guns. I'd give the slight edge to LHF because of the side by side comparison, but really who cares. They both do the trick. Any hand cannon you pick will be fine. Use them all. I have Thorn equipped right now and it has insane recoil and I'm reloading every 6 shots. It's not ideal what I use it for, but I don't really care. I put up with it because it looks like pure unadulterated aggression. I know TDYK is a better weapon for just about everything I need it for but realistically it all comess down to skill and Thorn covers enemies in green poison.. So I use Thorn. However, at some point I know I'll be getting The Last Word, and Hawkmoon, it's only a matter of time. So when I do I'll be excited and glad to try something new. I'm not tied to any weapon as long as I'm enjoying using it. When I'm tired of shooting green-poisonous rail road spikes at people I'll use something else. If anything, I'd say adopt that philosophy and enjoy your journey. You'll get more out of the game, too.

Last Word or Devil You Know I heard there pretty good
-
Looks like no one posted it yet. Fatebringer, arc HC that does AoE dmg when dealing head shots. It drops off first boss hardmode VoG. I heard rumors the AoE solar dmg disorients players in the crucible, plus this HC one shots adds in the raid if dealing crit dmg.

Edited by Xx_-Dyn0Mite-_xX: 10/28/2014 12:21:17 AMPvP-Hawkmoon it's just that good.. Final Boss PvE-The Devil You Know.. IceBreaker (xBoned-you will understand when you get it) Your armor should compliment Hand Cannons

Timurs Lash!

Thorn. >DoT. >One hits most enemies without shields in vanguard. >Great range and impact. If it doesn't kill, it stops the target in it's tracks. >People shit themselves when they're hit with Thorn in crucible. >It's Thorn.
-
I really enjoyed the chance, future war cult FTW
-
TDYK, easy to get and easy to use.
-
I have heard good things about fatebringer
-
Just a clarification on Fatebringer for those of you who don't have it. I have all the worthwhile perks on it and it's not as great as you want to think it is. 1) stability sucks, and it kicks like a mule compared to more stable guns like TDYK. 2). Firefly is really annoying, as it sends enemies flying all over, making you have to constantly readjust your aim. Basically these things make chaining head shots very difficult which is what hand cannons are all about. I have used all the noteworthy hand cannons and I always fall back on TDYK with stability upgrade and 12 round clip. Other guns like LHF can roll almost identical perks, but I think the 3 things you're looking for in a handcannon are high ammo capacity, stability, and impact. Fatebringer is more of a niche gun for arcburn nightfalls IMO.

Fatebringer changed my life

Does no one like Red Hand IX? I think its awesome

Best RNG Legendary: Fatebringer. You can get it from Hard Raid at Templar. Best RNG Exotic: The Last Word. Best For Sale: The Devil You Know

The red hand cause of clip and stability

Edited by Versace1111: 10/27/2014 11:13:43 PMOne word- fate bringer Nearly identical to devil you know Precision kills cause enemy to explode Precision kills increase reload speed Splash damage in one of the upgrade
-
Lord high fixer cuz of the giant clip, helps in PvE and pvp cuz u never run out of ammo mid gunfight.
-
Devil You Know is the one I picked up. The range perk makes this hand cannon extremely good at fairly long ranges. And it's got a 12 round cylinder (for all you grammar freaks complaining about people saying "mag" or "clip")
-
I don't see the Lord high fixer getting recommended that much, am I the only one that likes it?
-
I don't really care for Handcannons, but I picked up The Devil You Know just because I want at least legendary of everything, and I honestly love it for PvE. It holds 12 rounds which is nice, and if you buy it from the Vanguard store it can be upgraded to carry more reserve ammo, or increased (almost maxed) range. I have not used any other legendary Handcannons, but TDYK is pretty sweet imo.
