I used to be a avid gamer back in the days of Halo 2 where the ranking system was something that you could spend months trying to reach the tier one ranks which was 40+ (for anyone who doesn't know the ranks went from 1-50) and I found the game very enjoyable, till this day I still do (cant wait for Halo: The Master Chief Collection). The day finally came where Bungie and Activision came together and made a game called Destiny which was something I had dreamed about back then. Unfortunately the game disappointed me as far as the PVP system goes. Both gaming companies have the FPS background and both companies had a ranking system, why remove the ranks all together? I freaking love PVP not sure if its just the enjoyment of killing another player and knowing I am better than them or just the enjoyment of having a team of 3-6 friends gather a strategy to beat the other team but with Destiny its a bit different. One of the main reasons I'm ranting is that even sometimes when I play at the top of my game with a K/D of 42-6 in clash we still manage to have that team mate that goes 6-42 which is 30% of the time, all the time! I'm not saying "I'm the best player" but I have a descent background with gaming and it sucks that there is no true division amongst the skilled and unskilled especially in a PVP system. Don't get me started with the game mechanics and all the bugs........*thinking back to the bug in Halo where the Battle Rifle would still shoot even after the players body dropped*
Any input to help me understand why Destiny is avoiding this would help. Thanks!
