Let me set the scene for you;
You're just wondering around, capturing some points in control, when you decide that popping your Ward of Dawn is a good idea.
Good?
Great.
Now you have a viable way to defend the objective for a short period of time until it goes away.
..and by 'goes away' I mean that some cocky Hunter or a snotty Warlock has come along, used their respective Super Charge and now, 3 seconds after you popped it up to relax under with a spot of Titan Tea, you are sat naked, alone, and wondering where your dead teammates are.
Can any of my brothers relate?
Can anyone offer a suitable explination as to why our super is the weakest? When it is currently the only subclass that really promotes strategy.
Rise with me, fellow Titans!
Take back the Dawn!
Fight for a buff!
..or don't, I'm not your mother.
Edit: This thread was made with a fun little theme to it to try and avoid all the usually negativity on these forums, so thanks for everyone for keeping it civil.
Edit 2: I have the saint-14 helm, and usually do very well within my precious bubble. It just makes me a sad little Titan when the super gets taken down by another super.
Edit 3: Im not saying that it shouldn't be taken down when a super is used against it. What I am saying is that it shouldn't kill everything inside. The warlock and hunter supers currently just fly through it as if it wasn't there.

I use it (ward of dawn) depending on how the other team is playing, if the other team has titans with WOD I use fist of havoc when they start dancing inside it
-
I hear you on that one. I deploy the Ward of Dawn, my Dome of Doom, my Bubble of Trouble, my Sphere of Fear, only to have my bubble burst by some other player (pun intended). At least I can use it as a once off shield. I've used it a few times as a well timed wall to stop rockets and supers from hitting my teammates charging behind me. Sure I usually die, but one life for 5 of my mates? Fair trade.
-
Love the thread! May I ask a question though? I have almost the exact same setup as you... What shotgun do you use? User the sidewinder but it's a blue. Is that actually what you use? Right now I'm using invective and comedian.
-
It blocks out golden gun nova bomb. Basically any projectile
-
Im actualy not doing that bewause i was a titan defender myself and i know how anoying it can be

Edited by Elazul: 11/7/2014 10:00:06 PMI hate those blade dancing fruitcakes that come prancing in and two seconds later the entire team is dead. Yeah I can relate. Ward of Dawn should let us shoot out of our bubble. That would even things out a LOT.
-
Edited by The_BigHeavy: 11/7/2014 10:16:48 PMNova kills all including sunsingers. That is all.
-
Don't forget get those Titan pricks who waltz up and smash the crap out of your shield.
-
Maybe striker is best used for PvP and and your gay bubble is used for Pve my theory!
-
The only time you should use WoD is when everyone else has used their super first when your team is ahead in points. If your teammates are acting like feed for the cattle, then it's useless to pop WoD.
-
And your super is the second strongest and shoulder charge
-
A super for a super is fair
-
Good point. Why should our super be less powerful than their supers? Fair is fair.
-
I feel it! Im always alone... Forever... In my bubbles... DAM YOUUUUUUUUUU -cries-
-
Well first I see it still says indestructible in description. But not true even in pve. Nova bomb, golden gun and FoH destroys it. So it is a gamble. Good to pop after heavy spawns and you know they got it. However try this. It helps against our shoulder charge as well. Get the saint helm. Lvl to starless night. Take the ward of dawn perk for melee shield in the bubble. It's so funny and if use at choke pts or just pop it right on them they are blinded and melee doesn't damage. However if a enemy defender does it inside yours it just a brawl till yours is down or his if not extended.

Not only this but some of their perks in the Stirker and Defender subclass need to be reworked. Melee Upgrades: These are lackluster why would you use anything besides Ampilify (the coldown on fist of havoc on kills). The Area of effect damage only has a chance to proc on kills which makes it not even worth equipping considering you have to get the kill with the strong melee for it to do so then hope this procs. Not to mention the AoE dmg isn't worth it in the first place. Overload isn't bad but I would rather see Transfusion put over there and instead of it being on kills be on hit. The other two classes have procs on hit for ex. Sunsinger overshield being proc'd on hit meanwhile the Defenders overshield only procs on kill. How is this balanced . Also the bladedancer has the invisbility proc on hit. Juggernaut: The way this ability has been implimented give this ability no practicality or use. It needs to be adjusted to either last the duration of your sprint and proc sooner or once built up if you stop running the shield stays proc'd for a short peroid of time say 3-5 seconds. I understand why this is not the case now because in pvp this would be quite strong but since when was pvp balanced to begin with? Sunsingers with flame shield and there super active can keep a shield up on them for the duration of there super meleeing people not to mention the dmg reduction perk going along with it form radiance is that balanced or Bladedancers being abale to teleport everywhere with invisibility and dash across map with there super killing people while taking fire from multiple people. Speaking on this they really need to have seperate values for everything guns, abiliteis etc in pvp and attempt to balance things out. With that said however realistically lets be honest that probbably isn't going to happen. Ward of Dawn: They need to take armor of light out and replace it with something else. There is no reason to keep then when you have blessing of the light which will give you a shield outside of Ward of Dawn and can be refreshed. Instead would be nice to see something like a Debuff to all enemies who enter Ward of Dawn along with it pulling some aggro to attract enemies to it. This would give this ability more utility and allow it to stack with Gift of the Void to take more dmg and help create orbs for fireteam members. They could also replace this ability with something like double paned mirror. This would be an ability which would allow the user to shoot out of the bubble but while doing so creates an opening in the bubble which can be shot through as well from that direction by any enemies. . Something like any of these ability would give the bubble more utility and practicality.

I disagree. All the supers in the game are designed to counter each other. Defender bubbles insanely good if other team doesn't have a super ready but it makes sense that a super can be bested by another super. Any way you look at it your still forcing the enemy to burn a super on your bubble, and if your the only one in it I think that's a good thing for your team since a super is used to ideally kill 2-3 people
-
Make it F'n bigger. 10 times bigger!!!!
-
I think ward of dawn should either be indestructible or remove the time limit and it stays up until it's destroyed.
-
I have an exotic helmet that I won from last weeks nightfall. It makes the "Ward of Dawn" blind enemies who enter it and preventing them from using their abilities for a short time. I think ward of dawn is good but only with perks. I also have the exotic chest armour for my titan which allows him to carry two grenades.
-
I played with all three classes and i learned that.....tbe hunters super are just plane terrible. Why ? Well as soon as i use my blade dancer im dead by a shotty or someone else's super. As soon as i use my goldengun i'm dead again or there's no one around and sometimes missing a shot or two. As for warlock, voidwalker give you a guarantee kill if you throw it in enemy direction, sunsinger you can revive with a "surprise muthafuhka" then die from a shotty. As for titans, my favorite is the striker, wait for a group of enemies bunch up and "HULK SMASH" their asses. Defender on the hand is helpful to capture points but like you said it can be taken down with someone else's super
-
Defenders should of at least gotten a perk to be able to shoot from inside out. Should of replaced Armor of Light with it. Yes, yes you don't have to be in the bubble to shoot, the bubble can indeed act as a wall, but too many times have I used defender in pvp and theres me and and the other guy just looking at each other, me trying to survive and get use out of my "super", him waiting for backup, or the bubble to disappear. I cant see this as being OP. If we are in the bubble, way more susceptible to enemy multi-kills from supers, or, as the enemy, just find cover.
-
I loooooove using my titans super to shatter those silly bubbles.
-
titans are OP nerf everything about them but buff the dancing
-
Doesn't need a buff , super should kill supers I like killing defender titans with my striker while they're in a bubble Shield is perfectly balanced between the other supers
-
Sad panda. Buff the bubble. Now you get two.. NO 16 BUBBLES! And they keep growing and growing and grooowwwiiinnngg until you're in the thunderrrdoommeeee.. of bubbles. Bubble.
