Why is it that communication ingame is so difficult? You can't hear anybody unless they are in your fireteam and it's takes so long to join that it doesn't give players the initiative to do so.
Fireteam default setting is friends only so joining random's fireteams requires you to message, add, and join which could take over 3-5 mins when it should only take around 30 seconds.
I understand that they didn't want a bunch of people talking in their mics the same time I'm the tower, so instead, why not implement a text-based chat that's open to all players in the tower, similar to traditional MMO based communication.
Quick and easy communication is the key. Implementing a basic pop up text box that is hideable will enable players to easily make friends, find groups for raids, weekly strikes, and nightfalls with minimal effort.
Further features can include a private chat setting where other players can easily invite people in the tower to chat. Also to decrease traffic, copy and paste posts can be limited to a certain amount within a time frame (eg. 5 posts within 30 second limit)
We've all been asked to join fireteams in the tower by randoms, but because it takes 2-5 mins trying to figure out what they want that it becomes inconvenient, makes me not want to even bother with players. To this day, I have not found a single fireteam party consisting of only players met from the tower, that I have grouped up with to play a weekly event or raid. The only reason why I've been able to complete the weekly raids is because of this forum. Players should not have to leave the game to find parties online to continue playing the game.
Leave feedback below, I'm hoping this gets around.
