To Bungie,
Firstly, I like Destiny. I was excited when I first saw it over maybe two years ago, and I was still excited to play it last September. I see the good, and I see some bad, and I try to understand. So please, for whoever has to read this drivel from a fan, know that this isn't being written to 'show you guys how a story is done' or spew acidic 'aggressive constructive criticism' at you and all your fellow people.
With that being said, here's an idea I'd like to share:
The Guardians have obtained Vex technology that may allow them to travel back in time before the Collapse of the Golden Age. However, boisterous debate ensues.
Some theorists believe that this technology may falter us from our primary objective: protecting the city and humanity, as well as taking back the colonies and advancements we had lost.
Others believe that our obtaining the Vex tech was a matter of fate, that we were meant to capture it and use it to save ourselves before the Darkness could strike the finishing blow upon humanity.
However, one undeniable fact comes from the experience of many; The recently entered Vault of Glass contained similar technology that, if used improperly, would end with the death of everyone involved in its usage.
A plan is put into motion; test the technology, go back in time and merely observe.
So it goes, Guardians will be able to travel back, however the Vex must have limited it to only travel them back after the Collapse, when humanity was scattered, and searching for safety. In the wilds that would birth the great City, Guardians will explore and assist humanity toward building the Last City.
I'm sure you guys have better and more well thought ideas. In my mind, it's like Destiny: Days of Future's Past, and I think it'd be interesting to explore that time; how their weapons and armor looked (more patched together and makeshift?), how simply crafted the City was constructed upon its founding. Heck, maybe we can experience the Battle of the Twilight Gap!
Either way, I hope and trust that you guys know what you're doing.
Keep doing your best!

My idea for the story..... "Have one" Destiny has the worse, most choppy story I have ever scene. I have no attachment to any characters and why does a robot have tits and a rocking ass(not that I mind). Still this games story is as exciting as watching two rocks -blam!-... Which doesn't happen.
