Raid/PVE Tips for Noobs and 3Lite folks First post so let me get straight to the point. Prelude: PVE seems easy but has its trick, have you ever been in a game and when you complete it that you have 300 kills and the other guys have 30 or less or raiding with your lower level person and out killing everyone with better gear? Hopefully these tips should help out and get your PVE K/D up and make a difference in the team. - Pick weapons for correct situations, if it's a typical Praetorian and you’re protecting the plate by yourself - just use a Void weapon and rocket launcher and take him out or any other void weapon. Don't use your Mythoclast because you want to look cool - play smart :) - Be aware of your environment and use your radar, If you see hobs well...they can see you and will snipe your head off...always release the aim button from time to time to see if anyone is sneaking behind you. A Minotaur will smack you and it will hurt. - Be a team player, don't play the hero role (especially on hard). Help out doing your role(s) in that part of strike or raid; everyone has a part for a bigger cause at the end. - Communicate! I always try to ask "How’s left/right side doing?", "How is everyone with the oracles?" every so often and call praetorians and hobs and when I need to recover health from a nasty hit. It helps everyone become aware of what’s going and they can provide cover fire or cover your role. - Object to decisions made by who is raiding (in the best way possible lol) if you know you and your buddy work as an awesome team and your are separated and work better as team - let them know. Or if you know a new way to handle enemies or a part, share it! Everyone is usually open to new tactic and helps you become more dynamic in different situations. - Take it easy and don't stress, if you are going down every few seconds. Grab something to drink or walk around or something...the vault and nightfall really stresses people out and a little break goes a long way. - Go for head shots/critical points and use your heavy. If you see a bunch of guys coming at you and your team, Call rocket and blast them out, this could be the factor getting past that part you are stuck on...I know you want to save them but you should have heavy ammo packs in your inventory, don't you? :) - Be kind to players, if you get a connection error that was from bungie. It's okay! It happens to all of us and some are out of our hands or if you didn't see that grenade, it's fine :) We aren't perfect and make mistakes... - Have fun :) The raid is something that we all come back to every week to do once or even 5 times.
