So, has anyone else been severely disappointed with the raid gear? I mean you work your nutties off for all this gear (and i know some of you are angry at getting the same piece of gear over and over again) and the only thing it does is get you to level 30, no unique abilities, no nothing. You end up sacrificing your amazing exotic item that you USED to get the raid gear for this shotty raid gear. Here's my Idea and please comment your concerns (yes! do it! or get off the bungie forums you idiot, all are welcome!) My idea is good for only Atheon for now, considering he's the only end raid boss at this moment, but have a possible drop from him be like a "chunk of void glass" or "strange piece of glass" and you have to take it to your vanguard mentor. they supply you with A lore-friendly quest line to find out what it is our whatever and then you find that it has a hidden power. The power works off of the "Darksiders 2" possessed weapons idea where you feed it items to give it power. So you can sacrifice or "feed" your exotic (or non exotic) gear and it will "mirror" (since its glass) the special abilities of said item. Example, the Knucklehead Radar for hunters, you would sacrifice the item to the strange glass and it would "mirror" (or take on) the abilities of the Knucklehead radar, so you now have a raid helmet that has the abilities of the exotic helm. level 30 AND your favorite abilities to boot. It wouldn't take the look of the item, it would keep the unique raid appearance but it would still have the abilities! Now if Bungie decided to do something like this, they could still retain their concept "only 1 exotic at a time" but would give the players that "feeling" that they're wearing all exotic gear because the raid gear is mirroring the effect of their favorite exotic items. So its like wearing all exotic, but you're not! This is only an idea that literally came to me like 20 minutes ago so please read and reply if you want! :)
