Exactly I have to run the Polar Oak shader with my Striker titan because the Helm of Inmost Light won't be shaded for some reason. So I have to use the one that works best with my helmet.

Happened to realize this as well. My husband is Titan and told me Exotic don't change color, but I told him my Lucky Raspberry does change colors according to what shader I equipped.

It's frustrating that it won't be shaded just because it's an exotic because Bungie wants other people to know it's an exotic for some damn reason. I want my armor to match but if I use an Exotic it never will. What's sad is there's pictures on IGN of the helm of inmost light totally being shaded from the Oracle 99 shader looking much better.
