I got the info about Revenant a few days ago, I was already Rank 3 in dead oribt and in the last days I have reached almost level 6. But as I said I now see many ppl lvling up Dead Orbit, while up until a week ago I felt like I had been one of the few, suddenly this black shader info is out and everyone jumps on it... which led me to write about the "ultimate Shader" and if ppl are looking for personality and that Guardians would look different with more shaders, I hopeI don't see 80% Black guardians, because that would prove the opposite :D That would mean that the color black rules all and is the OP shader ;)

Dead Orbit package just gave me Bittersteel and I love it. It's like black and shiny metal.

I'm leveling up Dead Orbit for mainly the emblem cuz I never got around to it (it's about to be 3 lol) but I guess I'll go for the shader anyway. I mean personally I'm ok with my Blacksmith shader as of now considering not a lot of people have it and it's looks really cool with my set up (almost like Revenant, but with some yellow/gold in there).

I use the Goldspiral (rank 3) from the Iron banner, haven't seen many with that shader or the rank 3 wolf emblem. I jumped on Dead orbit as soon as I could because I saw that they were selling black armor, and the Skull/axes emblem which I now see becomming more and more common. Now that I heard about the black shader I am back to Dead Orbit.
