My bad, my friend! I interpreted your post as if you were the ring leader for the fish frenzy. I applaud the misdirection. Expertly executed.
I'm just as guilty as anyone when it comes to moving on to a new game, and neglecting old ones, especially if it's something I know I will be spending a good chunk of time on. There never seems to be enough time.
I completely agree. With the amount of incredible games on the horizon, it will definitely be difficult for the Destiny community to grow. I'm cautiously hoping that when the big drop does happen, the BNet community will become a bit more constructive and positive in helping the game improve. Destiny is one of the few games that made me want to play and get to know complete strangers. It's also one of the only games that I actively use the forums for. I've been gaming since the 80's.
I'm not defending Destiny or Bungie, because there are some very questionable design decisions but, to me, it feels like there are switches waiting to be flipped that will make players go "Ah, yes!!! That is the Destiny I was looking for." I hope they don't make a fool out of me.
I would gladly fight by your side and our fellow Guardians.

I have that niggling in the back of my mind. With no competition on the market and an epic concept how did they fail so badly. I wondered if they were waiting to lose a few players then flick those switches so everyone comes rushing back. A lot of people say this isn't a full game it's more of a beta, I'm questioning whether they are literally correct and this was a trial period of sorts for destiny

Ya know, I'm inclined to agree with that notion a bit. I can see Bungie combing through the data going "No, they are not ready. We must let them simmer and stew. For they do not know the deliciousness that will be!" Perhaps they just didn't expect players to feast so quickly. Who knows? There is definitely some intangible and unexplainable aspect about Destiny that keeps bringing players back, bringing me back. Maybe it is the feeling we are just playing through a veiled version of the game, and once it's lifted, the wait will be worth it. Here's hoping I'm not a fool again. We already know that the upcoming expansions are on the disk, but it will really be a shame if there is more content that is locked on disk behind yet another paywall. There are so many passages and doorways on all the planets in this game that just look like they are begging to open up. Come on, Bungie! Flip those switches and let us in!! Hopefully some of the unannounced events will have some interesting, unique content. The events that have already been available certainly leave much to be desired.

I don't care about paywall. Shit I would pay 5x game price right now if I could just get the game it was supposed to be

I can't argue with that, since I would do the same, but shhhh, they're listening. Considering I pre-ordered and bought two Limited Editions, one for PS4 and another for XB1, I have high hopes for Destiny's future. One with the complete version of Destiny and we are playing it.

Maybe I might come back in 2-3 years when the games almost compete and enjoy it how it was originally meant to be enjoyed
