So I have been toying with the idea lately that somehow the Marathon universe is connected to the Destiny universe.
If you haven't played the game I KNOW you don't know what the W’rkncacnter is. Most people who HAVE played the game don't even know. You can do your own research here if you want.
From what I know of the W’rkncacnter is that everything I know about the Darkness fits into what this race or entity is.
It's almost uncanny, except for the fact that Bungie made both games, heh.
It creates Chaos wherever it inhabits.
It bends the laws of time and space.
It warps reality.
A being or beings of utter darkness.
Bring death, destruction, and demise wherever they tread.
The Darkness is still a vague topic but atleast we can start with this theory.
Another thing I've been thinking about a lot are the Warminds. Aside from the obvious, I've also tried to figure out if there is some sort of connection between the Warminds and the three AIs on the Marathon.
Any thoughts?
EDIT:
Forgot about the last lines of Marathon: Infinity.
"We've watched while the stars burned out, and creation played in reverse. The universe freezing in half light. Once I thought to escape. To end the end a master, step out of the path of collapse. Escape would make us god. Yet I cannot help remember one enigma. A hybrid, elusive destroyer. This is the only mystery I have not solved. The only element unaccounted for. Even S'bhuth is no more, he saved his entire race, but in the end, frozen by despair, he joined the chaos he sought to evade. But you were dead a thousand times. Hopeless encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting into an infinite pattern. Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild. Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all becomes one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny."
