The gear is dramatically imbalanced between classes. That is an indisputable fact. The stats for all gear is freely available for comparison.

I'm only lv 24 though and I smash lv 30's, I shoot them with a shotgun and melee them straight after and it's an easy kill

level means shit in PvP mate, all damage and armor values are platonic, a level 6 can go toe to toe with a level 20 and come out on top because of that, Iron banner was "supposed" to make armor and weapons mean something and that wasn't the case at all
