Add Matchmaking for Raids, Nightfall and Heroic Strikes please
It's really annoying to have to wait for people to get on to form a group for Raids, Nightfalls and Heroic strikes, especially since we can't go to a public area like the Tower and recruit due to the voice chat restrictions imposed in the game. Not to mention it's hard to find people of the right level as well. Matchmaking would make this so much easier and make getting gear and leveling it less of a hassle.
The Matchmaking could look for players of similar level to match you with to make sure you're not going in with anyone too low to survive, as well as balance the group by diversifying the classes, bringing in 2 of each class for raids (2 titan, 2 warlock, 2 hunter) and one of each for the Nightfall and Heroic strikes.
While on the topic of Strikes, it would also behoove the player base if we could finally be able to voice chat with our random fire team members instead of having to form parties through the dashboard (X360 and XB1 versions). This should also be allowed in the Tower as well so those who are looking to form specific groups of people for Raids can do so much easier by simply talking to those around them. Being able to openly communicate with others is a staple of MMOs. Not allowing us to do is counter intuitive towards the game play in Destiny.
Also, we should be able to choose the difficulty of the Raids between normal and hard. The same goes for regular strikes as well. We should be able to play strikes up to level 30 as well as difficulty modifiers for players to challenge themselves. The higher the level and difficulty modifiers, the greater the rewards.
With the addition of PoE, matchmaking should be added for all modes of that activity as well, not just level 28.

2 RepliesIf they add matchmaking to raids ands nightfalls, they'd better make matchmaking optional. I refuse to raid with ANY randoms. I can't even tolerate most of my friends jumping in my fireteam with no notice. -blam!- that.

No I am not gonna raid with some looser who matchmade. Sorry not sorry. I'm not gonna carry people through who suck and would not want to deal with it on crota.

Matchmaking should be added to normal mode but not hard on raids. I think matchmaking wouldn't be horrible on nightfalls, 8/10 people are already doing "manual forum" matching making anyways why not skip that and have it for us. I very rarely run a nightfall with people I know.

Yes add matchmaking, but make it optional. Or add a feature to the tower to make creating fire teams more streamlined.

definitely not raids. You need some coordination for those, if people could just jump in, I don't see them getting completed...

I have a team for raids and solo the nightfalls, I don't want some lower level to come in and be carried, raids simply wouldn't get finished. This absolutely could not happen

I don't mind matchmaking if it's optional. If they implemented it for raids, then they would have to make so people couldn't go in unless the were the level of the raid. Everyone knows there would be plenty of 27s hoping to get carried otherwise.

I would never use a match made raid because I like people to be more invested in the game by using the forums people would bail much quicker if they knew it was always going to be another randomly matched game right around he corner. Also there is no way the game could know if you have a good sword bearer or not and without that crota is a waste of time.

Maybe raids but everything else is extremely easy to solo.

No way. Weeklies are a pain now. If you can't find a group using lfg or bungie something is wrong.

Nightfall only should get matchmaking and heroic i dont want machmaking for raids because there will be people that are 3 levels under the level and u might get matched with people who dont know what they are doing

Raid matchmaking outcomes: 1) "this is my first time" 2) crota raid- "so who knows how to use the sword?"- no response 3) why does so and so not have a mic? 4) 10 minutes of failing at crota or atheon- so and so has departed 5) why are there only warlocks and hunters? Raid matchmaking = find people on forums beforehand
