You must have at least 5 unique reasons as to why Destiny is better to prove me wrong.
I would have said 10 but I doubt destiny has even 5.
Then why are you playing destiny?
-
Not to defend Destiny's issues, but Gearbox has had two prior games to build on their model.
-
Borderlands>Destiny Biggest reason. Gearbox didn't fkng lie to you about what you were buying.
-
These titles make me giggle now ..
-
Lol. Destiny has an actual competitive PVP system. Nice troll bait by the way. Got me to post.
-
Bazzilions of guns, all shit
-
1. Pvp 2. Armor slots 3. Subclasses 4. Better endgame 5. Upgradable armor and weapons (shards and energy) Borderlands does things better then Destiny though. 1. Skill trees 2. Story 3. Amount of weapons 4. Elements 5. Jack Both good games for different reasons.

Edited by ReesesPieces101: 10/20/2014 6:39:05 PMThe F@cK? This shit again? Why don't you explain why apples are better than oranges than? Or do you not have the capacity to appreciate both? Pathetic.

Asking for subjective reasons to prove that destiny is better is stupid but I'll humor you. 1. I dont have to worry about dying due to lack of oxygen. 2. Able to switch out skills and the like at no cost and at will. 3. There's other stuff to do besides campaign. 4. Sparrows. 5. No claptrap.
-
5 reasons? i only need one - This forum has tons of attention whores proof? your own damn thread
-
Borderlands is a trash game. More useless guns drop in that game than this one Its just the new gen duke nukem Only corny teenagers or old people who haven't grown up play that trash.
-
1. Better Graphics 2. More friends play it 3. Next gen 4. better pvp 5. I like Bungie better than gearbox 6. Deej is a great community manager who communicates very well with us 7. It's more fun 8. My progress of my character carries over to the sequel 9. More entertaining forums 10. Destiny has the best gun mechanics of any game I've ever played
-
The only thing that is important is that Destiny is better than Halo ever was. Reported! And asked to move to #Gaming or #Offtopic. Still reporting. Also your bait smells like your moms ass and is used just as much.

Ever heard of little things called OPINIONS
-
Lol, no. 1. Better weapon mechanics - by far. 2. PvP. 3. Raids that are interesting and don't consist of only one lazily designed boss and don't require broken combos or glitching. 4. Beautiful armor. 5. Fair leveling up. You can get advance in level without making 99% of your weapons useless. 6. End game content. You heard right. Borderlands devolved into farming bosses and chests very quickly. 7. Freedom of choice. Destiny doesn't force you into one single weapon combo and skill build. 8. Support. Yup, Bungie actually DO LISTEN and try to IMPROVE the game. Gearbox stated they didn't have the money for that and instead presented us some unnecessary micro-DLCs and BL1.5. Lieing at its best! 9. More weapons. The game with the "87 bazillion weapons" actually lacks proper scout rifles. Lmao. Aaand 10. (this one's for the fans) - despite a lot of hostility, the Destiny community is SO. MUCH. BETTER! than that of BL2. BL2 was separated into casuals who enjoyed the basic concept of Borderlands (who got a nice F*CK YOU! from Gearbox with the OP levels) and "elitists" who thought themselves superior, ignoring the fact how they have never touched a competitive shooter and are just exploiting BL2's broken mechanics. BONUS: 11. Speaking of which, do you realize how easy and rewarding teaming up in Destiny is? See that golden 30 Warlock in the Tower with Mythoclast on back >BOOOM!< - fireteam invite. Borderlands only knows some strange matchmaking. And can you see your stats on Borderlands anywhere on the internet? Do Gearbox talk to the community? No. And don't get me started on the pathetic forum moderation at the GBX forums. This all draws the very clear picture that GBX don't care for the community and the game, but rather just want to milk you as much as possible. BONUS 2: 12. Forgot maybe THE most important one: NO cheaters! You can't play BL1 or 2 with four legit players in MM. Ever. You can't even play with OP8 in MM, by the way (number 13?). Bungie are known and feared among the modding community for their "zero tolerance policy" against cheaters. Gearbox are a pathetic joke in this regard. You literally spend hours just searching for a legit lobby in BL. That enough for you? I got a suggestion, if you want to play Borderlands, then go ahead. I've got VERY good reasons to not like it anymore. And this is coming from someone who has spent more than five hundreds of hours on both BL games.
-
Then go play it.
-
I think you should prove how a game you havent played (assuming you are talking about the upcoming BL) is better than one that is out now! =p
-
I'll give you one: I like Destiny 10 times more and have more fun playing it than Borderlands
-
Why do I have to have 5? Why can't it just be 3?
-
Their using the same exact engine as Borderlands 2. Thats why its only on past-gen. Same weapons just different skins. The only "good" part are the characters. (Even though Nishas ability is just aimbot). The game is literally an almost identical replica gameplay wise. Same potato 5-pixel textures on their lackluster enemy models and weapons.

Edited by l Ellz l: 10/20/2014 9:55:14 AMOnly need this reason: Borderlands is boring and looks crap
-
Lmao. I don't have to prove you anything. You go ahead and play your "better game" that requires the same grinding that Destiny does and have fun with constant stream of useless white and green guns. Borderlands is fun for a while, but it gets old fast. Destiny still has kept my attention, much longer than Borderlands ever did.

What I read: "I like borderlands better than destiny, but I still go to Destiny forums to whine"
-
Let me help end this ridiculous discussion with some unique insight: I wouldn't be playing Destiny if not for the Borderlands series. I do not care for traditional FPS, easily one of my least favorite game genres. In 2010, a friend told me "You should check out Borderlands, I know you don't like FPS but knowing what you do enjoy I believe you will like it." So my sci-fi, loot-driven, rpg-loving ass checked it out and I was hooked. BL2 was even better for me personally. I loved this series for fullfilling these gaming preferences while not taking itself seriously whatsoever. So along came all of the talk of Destiny and my same friend telling me I should do some research on it. I did and came to the general conclusion that "this is more or less a much more serious version of Borderlands with more armor and gear, count me in." I am still having a lot of fun with Destiny and I am also having a lot of fun with the Pre Sequel, often with both on the same day. Apart from these loosely similar gameplay mechanics though, these are two totally different games and I think they both are awesome. I will continue enjoy playing both of them. One note on the Pre Sequel though a lot of people don't understand. It is a total "fan service" game. If you love the other entries in the series, you love this one as well. If you don't, the new gameplay mechanics and additions to the lore will probably not have the same effect on you. Along with Gearbox working on Battleborn (which is not looking very exciting to me anyway) the fan service aspect is the biggest reason why it is only on PC and the previous gen of consoles.
