After all these patches and changes I think it'd only be fair to start again with a clean slate. For example, someone's KD would've been a major factor before the Nerf of a Vex Mythoclast. This way everyone plays with the fair version of the gear.
Also, for the new people who joined the game this past month and are just leveling their characters. Its not fair for us to make fun of them because they're new. Again its only fair.

Edited by CaptainChortles: 10/19/2014 2:49:00 AMThe reason why no one wants this, is because 99.9% of the community couldn't give two shits about K/D. Yeah, let's just wipe MILLLIONs of players' accounts with dozens or hundreds of hours on each one and all their gear, because of K/D. That and because of people that got Mythoclast unfairly. So, what do you suggest, oh wise one? They wipe everything every single time an exploit is patched or a gun is nerfed? You do realize that everyone would be starting over every few weeks, right? If you care so much about K/D, make K/D also tracked on a weekly basis, then. Non-problem solved.
Especially now with an incoming patch on the raid itself, we are in need of a complete wipe. Since not everyone would have had the same opportunities to get those OP guns. Case in point: a vex attained through pushing Atheon. When this is patched, we won't have the same opportunities as someone who was capable of going into the hard raid pre patch.
Who even cares, the game is not remotely "fair"; not with such a randomly cruel loot system. If you really wanted a fair game where all players were given equal opportunities, you'd want the RNG taken out of the loot system. Currently, someone who works much harder than someone else can get no reward while someone else gets everything on their first pass through. Is it "fair" that the person that got the Mythoclast with luck should have a higher K/D in PvP than the person who worked harder than them and was unlucky? Is it "fair" that a fresh level 20 turning in a bounty can get an Exotic bounty for Pocket Infinity while someone else can do a hundred times more bounties and get nothing? Is it fair that I got Sunbreakers off a Level 12 Goblin when other players, that have also killed just as many Level 12 Goblins, didn't get them? The game isn't "fair" and perfect with equal opportunities and guess what, most players don't give a crap. Not enough to have many millions of hours of play wiped constantly every time an exploit is fixed because of one guy's notion of equality. EDIT: Additionally, if you think ANYONE would say, "Thank God GAmadeus got my account wiped and all my gear destroyed. Now I can finally be on an even playing field with that 0.1% of the population that exploited that Hard Mode Vault of Glass Push-Atheon-Off-The-Cliff oversight and got lucky enough to get Mythoclast, which is a mediocre gun now anyway" you have to be off your rocker. Those same people that are being "oppressed" (which don't even CARE or THINK they're being "oppressed") would be cursing you out forever. Somehow, I think they care more about their own hundreds of gameplay hours and all the gear they've obtained than your bizarre notion of total equality of opportunity, which doesn't even exist in a mostly random loot based game. It's like you have two guys going to race, one with legs and one with prosthetic legs and you go the one with legs, amputate them and give them prosthetic legs as well, then ask "Why aren't you thanking me? Now you can be on an even playing field!"
