So these rare ships that you get from drops or chests, all brown as far as I know. Can't really think of a reason why they would make something cosmetic so unflattering. My theory is that its a bug, easy enough to overlook because theres not many people talking about it so its possible that bungie doesn't even know its happening. Is there anyway we can bring some attention to this?

Edited by Gunship: 10/22/2014 4:22:45 PMI was thinking they were gold or bronze. Either way your right, why are they ALL the same paint scheme??? (I have like 7 rare ships from chests or drops - ALL the same color)

Yeah I second that. I've kinda given up with the ships on the game and to be fair they are hardly important anyway.

I remember the first time I got my rare ship and cashed it in to find a vomit colored disappointment awaiting me, good times!

I honestly have wondered why so many fly brown ships. Some models look like flying celestial turds lol.

lol, I call them Mustards. The ones with domed heads are Hot Dogs, the ones will thrusters that look like clothes dressers are Buses.

They probably just got lazy with the ship designs. Every ship bar the first one uses different combinations of the same parts.

It's probably that the "brown" is supposed to be a gold hue; but the shading didn't work out in all the various lighting conditions.
