So this may be common knowledge, but it's news to me and I've heard a few people saying they need to level up their vanguard rep to access legendary weapons. The XP reward for completing the nightfall strike also seems to apply to faction rep. This means patrol execute missions (the ones with the little star in the icon) can now net 31 rep points, as can strikes, and bounties are netting me something like a 160 point increase. Every little helps! FYI I managed to solo the nightfall strike this afternoon twice by exploiting the hiding places - I got a legendary auto rifle... That I already owned! Screw you RNG!!
