Here some improvements/additions to pass on. Dose not concern balancing or PvP concerns. Main suggestions are for PvE and aesthetics.
Glitched Ghosts: Please for the love of the Traveler, fix them.
Ships and Sparrows: Materials would be awesome to get for scraping them, but only the ones that drop randomly (Rares you get from chests and legendary's from any means). The ones that you buy from the vendors (shipwright and quartermasters) you should only get a fraction of the glimmer you bought it for. (you guys can decide what a fair amount is)
Faction Vendors/Quartermasters: Have them rotate stock (because the from what I've noticed, the vanguard vendors haven't rotated the perks on the legendaries), have the equipment they sell change perks once or twice a week at least (if they already do change the perks of the items they sell, have the timer show, because it doesn't). And have the guardian outfitter rotate shaders, her selection is kinda bad and we already get one of them when we hit lvl 20.
Patrol Missions:
- The grimoire card bonus for completing city tasks (Patrol Introduction), if patrol missions are the city tasks, doesn't seem to work. I noticed you got rid of this instead of fixing it.
- Also consider giving us a little bonus rep (1-5) for the faction that requested it (you're doing them a favor anyways, you shouldn't just get rep for the faction you're part of), you could even make that random. Or take it out of the 10, for example, you complete a mission, 7 rep goes to the vanguard, or the faction of the class armor your wearing, and the remaining 3 rep goes to the faction that requested the mission.
- Another suggestion is being able to carry two missions, one small (like the current patrol missions) and a second larger mission (requests from the Speaker himself, or the city is running extremely low on something) that has multiple steps or just a larger version of the current ones. Example: instead of just collecting or killing 20 things, increase it to 200 or more. It'll let us have something to do while we're traveling between areas to go scan or scout something. (I'll let you guys decide what reward to give.)
Bounties: Like exotic bounties, consider randomly giving out resource bounties, where the rewards are ascendant energy/shards. And consider making more exotic bounties, I have received 5 (just on one character) so far and there only seem to be five or six different choices.
Move the exotic bounties over to the mission slots, cause they take a longer time to complete and they will just restrict us on completing the other bounties.
Armor and Weapons:
- I've noticed that there are only three different types (aesthetics) of legendary armor. Please increase this in the future. Frankly, my main is a hunter and the faction (DO, NM, & FWC) armor is ugly. And for upgrading them, it would be awesome to be able to select what type of weapon you carry more ammo for the upgrade when you purchase the upgrade. So have the different options for the perks choosable when purchasing an upgrade, at least for the legendary armor.
- It would also be nice if the exotics could have randomized elements (so my Pocket Infinity could have a different element than my friends). It would also be great to eventually upgrade primaries to have a element (make it require like 12 ascendant energy and have it unchangeable)
Xur: (In my opinion) Shouldn't sell exotic weapons. These should be earned or gotten randomly from engrams. Or if he continues selling them, make them extremely expensive, at least 50 strange coins. Just make people work hard to earn them.
Materials/Storage: Please increase the slot limit from 200, or if not, increase the amount of slots you have by 5 (for mats and useables) and 3 (for weapons and armor) or give extra space that can be prioritized (I know that would take a lot of time and effort, being a CS major, just a thing to think about for future dlc)
Audio: Almost every game has an option to change the sound effects mix, I'm a little disappointed that was not an option in Destiny, (being that I lower music and sound effects to about 80% and keep voices at 100%)
Marks/Glimmer: Would you guys mind raising the cap, at least for glimmer, since there's not much you can do with it past level 20. For marks, I understand why you set a cap, you don't want people to progress too fast, but the progression is too slow after level 26 since you need ascendant mats for that. But for those who save up for a weapon, they should at buy one a week from both pve and pvp vendors if they work hard enough. My suggestion, raise the cap to 150.
Cryptarch: Thanks for patching the engrams. But after the patch I have notice that when you level him up, he rarely gives a legendary engram anymore (I've leveled him at least 7 time, and I have only gotten one legendary engram), where before the patch I got at least one every other level. But if that aspect was not touched, then that is just my luck (I also have no luck at getting ascendant mats from public events and getting hunter armor out of legendaries).
Raids: I am surprised that it is possible to defeat the vault of glass with two people. I was also kinda surprised that it can take an hour to beat it with six people. I was hoping it would be more like mmo raids and dungeons where you would have to sit down for at least 3 hours, and even then, if you knew what you were doing it would be difficult. I hope the raid designers will take these things into account for the future raids. Please don't add the random teleport to Atheon, in every other MMO, the raid/dungeons/ops allow for roll assignment, if you want to make the encounter harder, give Atheon more health so he can't die in 17 seconds.
Daily Nightfall Mission: Similar to the Weekly Nightfall Strike, just Daily and just with one of the story missions. You decide the reward.
Fireteams on Patrols: While you and your buddies are out on patrol, you should not all have to be at the chest/mat nod to receive the items. In other mmos, they had a pickup radius, so if you were close enough you got the items. My suggestion is to implement at least a pickup radius, I would prefer that if you were in the immediate area (if you were in the steppes on earth they would also have to be in the steppes) they would get the stuff for the node/chest. Would make farming for mats a lot more efficient. But a pickup radius would be the most balanced, so you guys could split up and check the different spawns for chest/nodes in a small area (10 meters). Make the pickup radius 25 meters, but if someone isn't within that keep the current method as a backup so they don't miss out (could add a distance indicator to team members so they know to stay close.
While reading through other forum posts I have seen these good suggestions:
Ammo Synthesis: Make this accessible through some means while in game (not in menu). Options: hold down reload button, d-pad or A (xbox or equivalent for PS) while having ghost out.
Defend the Wall: Have an occasional public event while your in the tower where the city gets attacked and everyone who is at the tower get teleported and has to defend the wall. Lets be honest, the city is going to be attacked at some point or on occasion.
- Special thanks to JakeT907 for this Awesome idea. His post:

Custom Shaders: Speaks for itself
Exotic Armor: Have it be affected by shaders. And for PvE only, allow more than one able to be equipped.
Loot Drops: I understand that you don't want people shooting into a cave for hours on end trying to get engrams. But the fact that bosses, majors, and ultras don't have guaranteed loot drops is kinda crap. And them dropping the items that allow you to get glimmer is pointless since the only thing useful to by with glimmer is ammo synthesis.
Trading: Now I know this is a tricky subject, because it can attract the wrong crowd. So I leave the matter up to Bungie, but my suggestions is restrict trading that you have to trade equivalent items (mats for mats, armor for armor, guns for guns) or restrict trading to where you have to be in the same clan.
Bounties: Add exotic armor bounties.
Raids: Give raid challenges/bounties that reward raid set loot.
- Special thanks to NU8 C4K3 for suggesting the last two in his post:
http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/74233478/0/0
Sparrow Races: Seems pretty popular, and I like the idea (if it was implemented correctly). Would be a fun alternative to Crucible.
Materials: Make them purchasable. With either glimmer or marks. You can purchase marks, glimmer and xp with mats, why not the other way around. Suggestion, 1 Mark for 5 mats but not for strange coins, motes of light, or ascendant mats.
Faction Rep: Make it so you don't have to go to the vendor to see your progress on the next faction rank.
Random Bug I have noticed: Randomly, sometimes when you're on a planet, nothing drops (ammo and items for collections missions, engrams still drop) until you go to another area.
Anyone feel free to add to the list, and keep trolling to a minimum plz and thx. I will be looking through other forum posts and adding to the list to have a central feedback post with all the good/decent ideas without the whining.
Comment or bump if you like of agree, make bungie notice some good advice and suggestions.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I hope you guys will consider implementing these suggestions.
edit: added tags and additional comments/content to original post sorry about the increased length.

To further extrapolate on the patrol mission suggestions: For the larger missions, well for patrol missions in general, scrap the kill order and the collection mission. Turn them into special requests that you get directly from the factions. - To replace kill orders (go kill this # of enemys), change them to go clear out this area (a story mission area). But, make there be seemingly unending waves of enemies. So many waves it would take a good half hour to complete the request. - For collection, have the faction request what they want, but don't set a limit. Have them continue collecting until the turn in the request and the reward scales to how many of that item they collected for the duration they had the request. - Add recovery/salvage missions, where you would have to go to a mission specific are, grab a [insert large objects name here] and escort it out of the area or to an open area where your ship can come grab it. - Add convoys (could also be a public event), you get intel on a enemy convoy, go wipe it out and anything of value. - Keep scouting/scanning missions the same, they're a good on the way there side mission. - In general, make patrols seem more patrolly. Have us encounter mini public events (like convoys), when we land give us a series of tasks to perform (optionally of course) and keep the patrol missions so we can do them on the side.
