It's not that it's OP. It's the broken melee system to which it makes it OP. Get rid of the auto melee or tone back the distance of melee while letting them take regular shot damage and it's fixed.

That would make it useless.(I use gun slinger) that's like as if you took away the blast radius on the orbs warlocks through. It wouldn't make it worth a damn. It's a super get over it. It's not hard to run away I'm a hunter and when I see someone in blade dancer I don't shoot I run in order to live they don't travel much faster than regular people they just lunge.

So your logic is to run away. So forget holding a control point in the last few minutes that can win or lose the game and RUN from the blade dancer. Good logic!!!
-
Did you forget that nova bomb an smash can easily wreck a blade dancer? Every super has a counter
-
Yea because everybody pockets their super. Again when your down to the last minute and you already use a super to gain control of a point, running away is the last logical thing to do if you want to win. Sitting on a forums saying "All you do is counter with your super is a lazy rebuttal," when comes down to situational play then come talk to me on how pocketing your super to only counter others supers works out for you.

I keep it until I absolutely must use it. Getting a few off a point can be done without it with the right team and tactics. But you're right, it is extremely situational

Keyword "right team" which means playing with friends. More then half of the gaming community games alone. So your going to rely on a bunch of random teammates with zero communication(due to Bungie not putting a communication system) to help clear a zone. Good luck with that. Have I had games with randoms that knew what they're doing, you bet, they were the best games I've had but those games were a few and far between.
