WoW has never tried to sell itself on it's story, Destiny has and is still trying to. That's the difference in all of this. WoW is a huge Mmo, with classes, factions, gear trading, creating and a huge single/co-op experience. No it doesnt have a strong story but it never said it did. Destiny has no big class differences apart from a special once in a while. No factions at all really. No trading in anyway, which is stupid but you can't create gear or anything so maybe that's why. It did say it had a Rich Cinematic Story, but that's not there. That's what people want if they aren't a real mmo, not just PVP tweaks.
