Accidental Character Deleted - Is it possible to restore a deleted character?
Hi, Bungie Support
I've accidentally deleted my primary character [I believe that I fell asleep with the controller in my hands].
Is there any way I can get help from Support to restore my lost character? I still have the empty slot available.

I'm reposting a reply in the body for the link to the ToS regarding deletion of a character so it is easier to find: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211 If this game is meant to have a 10 year longevity, then the support model and attention to game economy will need to improve drastically. The whole experience here has forced me to reflect on how I would feel had this event happened to me 2 or 4 years from now with a character. Vastly different from rebuilding a character only a few weeks old. This should not be acceptable to any player, or Bungie for that matter, and I will now be fully as fickle as the game and current support model strive to be. Mods can please close this thread should they ever get around to it.

I appreciate that everyone is very busy and that it is possible that there is no way to restore my character; however it would be a nice gesture if you could please reply to my post. I've attempted to make sure that it has the key words and title which will make it easy for others to find this item and get an official answer [there are plenty others from what I can tell]. Aside from that, where did the 500MM go in this game exactly? Not into support. And not into the UI either. The fact that I was able to delete my entire identity from your game - while asleep - seems to be in my mind grossly negligent on the UI design part. I'm happy to admit that I'm personally aggrieved here, but the fact remains that the mechanic for dismantling a trash green drop is in no way appropriate for your entire character. Keep in mind that as best I can reconstruct, when the Bungie servers were having trouble on Oct 16 [at least in the UK], the failed account login would bring you back to the screen where you could: try again to login, or delete your character.... One of my mates on Destiny said it best "we are mugs". I like the game. I enjoy playing with my friends. I'm pretty disappointed that there is no story or support. I doubt Destiny will be the last and best SciFi MMO evar. I know I can walk as I already had to rebuild from scratch once.... Cheers
