That's the equivalent of purchasing WoW because of one of its cinematic trailers. Consumer ignorance just isn't a valid excuse in this day and age when the Internet exists

Not at all. They took the risk of buying it when no one had reviewed it. If you thought your money was worth buying a game that wasn't reviewed and you didn't like it, it's nobody's fault but the consumer's.
