We bought it thinking it was going to be what it was advertised as. We didn't think it would be "Deploy Dinklebot and Defend Him".

Not at all. They took the risk of buying it when no one had reviewed it. If you thought your money was worth buying a game that wasn't reviewed and you didn't like it, it's nobody's fault but the consumer's.
