Should We Sue Bungie and Activision: I Say Yes
My beef isn't that the game isn't fun it's that we were told many things about the game and even shown footage of things in the game. Those are things devs told us about and sold us on. Yet where are those? They are false promises. Where's the rest of the story the tester on Reddit talks of? More false promises. The game was supposed to have a meaty story, not be a half assed clone of different games (namely Halo), and our loot was supposed to be rewarding. But those were all lies fed to us by the spoon we trusted that was Bungie's past legacy. I think because of all these things we need to sue them as Aliens Colonial Marines was sued for its lies and false promises. I don't hate it because I'm "not happy with it" or anything these things come from things we were told and shown but never happened. Hence false advertising and misinformation at its highest.

I agree these guys are either 1) bungie's Zealot, or 2) they are bungie employee's, it's your opinion, I bought it but, i admit I burned money to a compnay thats shit, and everything thats destiny or bungie relate can go f it self with EA, Activision, and all these 3A bullshit companies, except blizzard they are ok at least

Dude, I love you. I love this game but the fact that I need to pay more -blam!-ing money for "DLC" THAT WAS ALREADY ON THE DISK TO START WITH IS BULLSHIT! They can't put up advertising and not even have that stuff in the game.... Some people have even glitched into areas that are "DLC" proving they cut it and are selling it to make more money....... Wtf Bungie and/or activision

I wasn't saying the game wasn't fun or that I was attempting to bring this up because I wasn't happy with it. I was shocked and disturbed at the lack of care and quality. But hey keep playing your game where all the enemies look the same, all you do is the same objective over and over, and all Dinklebot says sounds the same...just glad better games are coming my way soon...

Destiny may not have been the revolutionary game people were expecting but it is still a fun game. I've sunk 100's of hours into the game and that totally justifies the $60 pricetag imo. The game definitely has it's faults but I'm sure Bungie will take our feedback and apply the lessons learned from Destiny to the sequel. A game of this size involves hundreds perhaps even thousands of people to create. It had a huge development budget and there were likely pressures for it to release in 2014 after already missing it's first release date. Content gets cut and things often change during development. I know some key people left during development and I've read the rumours and conspiracy theories regarding their apparent troubled development cycle. All that said I've really enjoyed my time with Destiny. I could do with it being less of a timesink at times but I don't regret my purchase. The fact you are still around and engaged in the community atleast proves that they are doing something right.

You can't just sue them because the product didn't meet your standards. If that is how things should be handled then I need to sue every company who sells products at Walmart. Imagine you were alone in a bubble, never saw or read any hype for Destiny, and were never influenced by any reviews. You would feel entirely different about this game. Hating Destiny has become trendy, and as usual, when things are repeated like a mantra in the media people eventually succumb to it. You even admit to this in your post. "I heard an influential guys say this, so now I believe it too!" Sure, the game isn't exactly what you expected but there really isn't any justification for a lawsuit. I bought the game Legendary when it came out because it looked cool, I've read bad books with good covers, and I spent money on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for NES when I was a kid, but I never even remotely considered reacting as inanely as you have towards Destiny. And Legendary was REALLY bad. This game is theoretically going to be here for a long haul and the developers are very receptive of community input. If you want something to change, try asking nicely. Or... You could form an angry mob of emotion-driven, media-influenced lunatics, spend thousands of dollars on a lawsuit, and hope to net a $60 return for your efforts. Just consider the insanity or your proposal, and if effective, the overwhelmingly destructive and paralyzing effect it would have on the future of the gaming industry. If George Orwell came back to life and wrote a story about a fictitious future gaming industry, it would be the industry you are unwittingly trying to create.
