Is Thorn Really All That Great?
I recently got the Thorn bounty, and then got The Devil You Know from a Ingram. So, considering I hate PvP with a fiery passion, and suck at it. Should I attempt to complete the Thorn bounty?

1 ReplyThorn will be getting a buff soon... Hopefully.. "Not all our Exotic Weapons currently live up to this promise. In particular those weapons received from completing exotic bounties including Thorn and Bad Juju have disappointed many of us who have gone through the great effort to obtain them because, despite looking and sounding amazing, they feel underpowered. We're here to offer some advice: don't shard those guns. Their time will come."

I like my thorn now that I got the dot it helps just that much more

Work on Thorn, also keep the Devil. You can only equip one Exotic weapon at a time. If you're way into hand cannons, that provides some good versatility. Once Thorn is buffed, I expect its Mark of the Devourer to lay down some damage.

I like love it! I have gauntlets that speed up the reload of hand cannons and I usually end up with the most kills after a strike. Just score head shots and remember that you are not using a scout or auto rifle. I absolutely cannot wait until it gets a buff though!!

1 ReplyIf you suck at pvp just like me, we can do Rumble and get it done in maybe 1-2 hrs for the pvp portion of the quest

Thorn is pretty terrible right now compared to other options we can get but Bungie mentioned it will get buffed some time in the future. So it's best to stick with it until that day comes.
