It's being done by Lockheed Martin's Skunkworks. They say they can have a model up in a year and a full reactor in a decade. For those of you who don't know, Nuclear Fusion is something that scientists have been eying for a long time. It's way better than Nuclear Fission, which is how we use Nuclear energy right now. This is a major breakthrough that could revolutionize energy production.

I wish they went into detail on how this works, because it just doesn't seem plausible, especially at the size they want to make their machines. The reason why scientists have been eying it for a while is because it requires an unbelievable amount of energy, generally in the form of heat, and temperatures that high aren't attainable with current technology. They've known how to do it, just didn't have the ability to, so it's alittle unsettling to see someone has designed a fusion reactor the size of a truck.
