Should there be a more specific way of obtaining shaders?

No, I have gotten plenty of shaders so far!

I have more exotics than unique shaders...

The shader lady has had the same shaders for the past month.

What is a shader?

Why would the only way of farming shaders be to farm cryptarch rep endlessly?

Seriously... I am a sucker for farming for vanity items and shaders seem to be the rarest thing in the game. They might as well be exotic quality. Edit: After 28 cryptarch ranks I finally got Substance 321. Happy day.
