I've been moving the past two days, basically taking a break (Even though I hate putting the controller down) from relentlessly grinding all three characters. When I finally moved in to my new house I got settled down for the first night, didn't play at all, just spent my time watching some Netflix. Enjoying the little things, before I get pulled in by the immersive gameplay of Destiny once again. After a long hard day of babysitting my aunt's son, my friend messages me while I have been sucked into The Walking Dead all day, getting caught up before the premiere. "get on destiny" he says. So I decided, why not? I go to my digital guardian edition of Destiny, then launch it. As the game is loading up I sit there and think of endless raids I've been though, and how many aliens I have killed. Finally the game loads up and I press X, pick my Warlock 29, and join my friend's Orbit. Now keep this in mind, right before I moved I banded a few of my raid buddies together in a clan called Lights of Genothola. Sounds pretty good right? Now anyway, also keep in mind I haven't been on my PlayStation in a good 2 days, so anything could happen. I joined his Orbit and notice his clan tag has changed, I said nothing because he was talking at that moment my eyes met his emblem. He explains how he reached level thirty as if trying to "wow" me. I replied at that instance saying, "Oh, nice. :o". Then I proceed to ask the question that's been on my mind since I noticed the emblem of his. "What's with this whole clan thing?", I ask him. He replies in a comedic manner, through laughter he blurted out, "Ohh yea. Everyone was calling it Lights of Ghanaea(don't know if that's grammatically correct), so I had to bail man. Hahaha ya we had to dip because everyone else was making fun of it." At this moment, I wasn't mad that he left my clan. No, pft, not at all. I'm more mad at the fact that he couldn't lead himself to decide to leave. He left because everyone was doing it, because it "looked bad". Does anyone else see the narrow minded choice here? How in the name of everything holy do you leave a clan, because everyone is making it sound like something it is not? I then disbanded the rest of whatever was left, in utter disgust of how people can't lead themselves, instead of following an opinion. This isn't just grief, there is a lesson to be learned here. I'm not asking for pity, or a pat on the back. I just felt like there could have been many other reasons, and more thoughtful notions of how, or why he would leave my clan.
