Sounds great. Too bad bungie didn't inject the lore in the actual game.
Maybe Rasputin accidentally created the vex when machine (Rasputin) melded with organic (the darkness). Or perhaps in the squeals, Rasputin turns out to be a primary antagonist. The god that the vex are worshipping.

I am under the impression the lore was part of the game till they thought it was a great idea to have stupid yu gi-oh like grimoire cards instead of story, no wonder the head writer quit.

Other cards indicate the Vex to be older and found on worlds colonized by humans and to be almost time imortal. For your theory to be right Rasz would have to have gone back in time to create a force to fight the darkness in the form of the Vex and than seeded it throughout the unverse. But multiple sources all claim the Vex is eviler than other evil (Cabal Fallen Hive) and those are all supported and aiontied by the Darkness to be more powerful (like guardians) I don't know if fans would accept a story conclusion like that in the form of a AI decided that the only way to save humans is to kill them after the fiasco of the Mass Effect ending. Odds are though we won't know and even if the rumors of their original vision are true I doubt the answers to these questions were to be raised in the first game.

A good portion of that I wasn't aware of, so your probably right, but I was thinking more along the lines of Rasputin being corrupted by the darkness rather then him acting on his own. Or perhaps the darkness corrupting his creations. Just because your more evil then evil doesn't mean that at one time you were not evil. Regardless, my theory is just a shot in the dark.
