Well said. I can see where you needed a clarification to your original post; some people may not be aware that so much was lost prior to the full ("full") release of the game. I also think the word "patch" is more fitting here. For what it's worth, I support your opinion on this.
For me, it's not necessarily about getting anything for free. It's more about having a cohesive storyline. Maybe the thought was that the PvP aspect would be a bigger selling point than a full storyline? (See what was assumed with Titanfall.) However, I'm thinking it has more to do with their lead writer leaving, or maybe being fired, prior to the release of Destiny. I think it's unfortunate that Destiny hasn't met everyone's expectations, but that seems to be unavoidable. What [u]is[/u] avoidable is having us pay for something that was originally a part of the game.

I think with the "rich cinematic storyline" comment on the case they planned to do something good with the story they just removed it for whatever reason. But thanks for the support.
