The grind to IB rank 3 is real, but once you are there the chest piece and the heavy machine gun are very cheap. Has anyone figured out if that gear that can be purchased can be broken down into Ascendant Material? Or have Bungie wizened up and put in the same fix that they did with the Queen's Wrath missions? Would be great to be able to STOCKPILE all those Machine Guns and Chest Pieces for Ascendant Material down the road, that's for sure.
