I also like the house idea. We could be able to choose which planet we want it on, and have rooms like a hangar bay to display the ships we collect and a shooting range to test out weapons. Maybe a news feed on some futuristic TV that fills out details on the separate war fronts and gives the story a bit more... I'm thinking of Mass Effects news feeds that give details on Shepard's movements and make the world seem real.
