I'm with you. The story seemed to just leave holes. Since Venus it trailed into the vex story but with the occasional trail leading you to a cabal strike and a fallen strike which doesn't tie in to the story later on any way

The trouble is if you watch the previews and everything it was far bigger, with species being a thing not just something you looked like.
