Explain why or why not Destiny is or isn't on your top 10.
Update: and just as i suspected. the destiny fanboys top 10 are all full of FPS and just plain bad and corny games. some people really surprised me by not having many shooters at all in their lists but still having destiny
You guys should really either expand your gaming selections, or play SOMETHING other than a shooter...
I think you'd find there are MUCH better games out there as long as you're willing to go outside your comfort zone.

Edited by MysterySkulls: 10/13/2014 5:27:29 PM1. Okami 2. The Last Of Us 3. Destiny 4. GTA V (Somehow it has kept my attention until Destiny came out) 5. Red Dead Redemption Short list, I know. These are the games I play even though I've finished them... Destiny is keeping me pretty happy. I know it's not what a lot of people expected. I wasn't expecting a lot. I am happy with it though. So far it's doing a good job of keeping me entertained and there is even more content on the way (I hope). Nothing can ever replace The Last of Us or Okami

In no particular order, listing my favorite series and my current favorite game in the series in parentheses after it. The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind), Fire Emblem (Rekka No Ken), Metroid (Prime), Halo (Combat Evolved), Pokemon (Gold/Silver), Legend of Zelda (Link Between Worlds), Dragon Quest/Warrior (Monsters), Golden Sun (Lost Age), Portal (the first one), Magi Nation (there was only one, series was just too good to last). Honorable mentions to Dragon Age and Mass Effect - I love both, but they are newcomers to my favorites list, they need more time before nostalgia sets in enough to solidify them into my top 10, plus that would push something else off. As for why Destiny isn't on the list? Lots of reasons. The biggest one is probably nostalgia - you'll notice the majority of my favorites were on game cube, game boy advanced, or game boy color. That generation was my gaming heyday. I'm also more of an RPG fan than a shooter fan. I bought into Destiny because I loved the story of Halo and liked the idea of Bungie doing a shared world FPS with some RPG elements. I, like everyone was disappointed on the story end, but I got hooked by the gameplay and the grind. As much as people may hate that part of the game, I really like being able to just hop on and kill an hour or two mindlessly headshoting mobs. And recycled environments have never bothered me - I think that's why I'm like the only person on earth who actually loved DA2.

- Guardian heroes (Saturn) - Mega man 2 (nes) - Legend of Zelda: Link to the past (snes) - Sin and punishment (n64) - Aliens vs Predator (cps2) (arcade) - Ninja gaiden (nes) - Super Mario world (snes) - Twinkle star sprites (dreamcast) (neo geo) - Gunstar heroes (genesis) - Ikaruga (dreamcast) This was a really tough list to make. There are so many good games but there you go.

Halo 2 multiplayer for all ten

Thinking of some of the games from the 90's and early 2000's Destiny is shallow and repetitive, games in the last 7 or so years have been all hype and no substance, Destiny is a good shooter and could have been great without some very bad decisions.

Hell no.

No. Its not as good.

In no order id say Ocarina of time Destiny Phantasy star online Conflict desert storm Jet force Gemini Shadow of the colossus Most Pokemon games Halo series Borderlands series Elder scrolls series.

1. Mass Effect 2 2.Mass Effect 3 3. Mass Effect 4. Metal Gear Solid 5. Metal Gear Solid 3 6. Metal Gear Solid 4 7. The Witcher 2 8. Skyrim 9. Destiny 10. XCOM EU & EW (share a spot because EW is basically an upgraded EU) Destiny certainly makes the list for me. It has been the first game that has gotten me to not just enjoy, but actively seek out friends online to co-op with. I love the gameplay (a first for me as I usually don't enjoy FPSs) and even though I am extremely disappointed with the story, I am interested in the Grimoire and in the direction that the story may go. While I have certainly enjoyed the Halo series, no Bungie game has ever held me for more than a couple of weeks (normally I quit after beating the story on Legendary). Destiny, on the other hand, has just enough rpg elements to keep me coming back for more and more.
