You're obviously very skilled. You're kills were on headshots, rocket launcher and 1 FR. You use cover and don't rush people needlessly. You are a very skilled player killing less skilled players. They aren't aiming as well, they are jumping up and down, and you stay in cover well. I say that this is a matter of you playing at an elite level against mediocre competition.
EDIT: You also got a bunch of assists and were being assisted.

Missed the boat. The "Iron Banner" with it's flaming shield marketing splash page --is just crucible. I'd prefer the "level advantages" were just enabled permanently in this state.
-
The point isn't that he won, it's that there was no damage disparity between higher and lower level characters. If you run comparisons between IB and standard crucible, it's clear that damage is applied in the exact same way. IB is glitched.
-
I'm curious to see what Deej has to say. My point is that we don't know where the other players were aiming. They might be missing half their shots with an AR and not even landing any headshots! It's hard to assume in my opinion. If you could take two characters and shoot them as a test in their armor at different levels, then I could see the actual results being conclusive. This video is not good evidence one way or the other.
-
Just try going into the IB. Take note of the specific damage for body and head shots. You'll see that they're the same for every enemy. Unless they have identical defense values, it should vary if attack and defense have any importance. Try the same thing in the crucible, and I'm pretty sure that the damage values will be identical.

Edited by Copperpot: 10/9/2014 8:14:45 PMNo offense man but you are saying you're pretty sure. And I haven't noticed the ability to see damage in game. Maybe I just don't have it turned on. There is score that pops up for kills and assists but that is not relevant to damage. EDIT: Yes I realize that I do see damage. My bad.
-
Really? just stare at the video. It says '19' every time he shoots an enemy. You haven't noticed this in the game before? Here's another that's a bit more comprehensive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XS60K21z9w And another:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MjQ2Et9ozA And another: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzfVuGpcGWY It's demonstrably true that the Iron Banner isn't distinguishable from normal crucible in terms of damage. No amount of devout fanboyism can overturn observational evidence. This level of fanboyism doesn't even help Bungie. They should know that there's a glitch that they should address.
-
Hmmm. I'd have to watch those videos multiple times. Honestly I don't really care that much. How does he know exactly how the damage is being credited. Or how the armor is on other players. And how are headshots normally calculated anyways? Isn't that different from body shots? I don't feel convinced. I just see a bunch of disappointed people with different expectations from what they received.
-
Okay I do see damage and I always have. I just forgot. I'm not trying to fanboy, I'm just saying that people are confusing their disappointment in expectations with a intentional cover up from Bungie.
-
Oh. I'm not. I think it's a glitch, not an intentional deception. I just want them to fix it and give us a full week of real Iron Banner.
-
He was assisted by two team mates for almost every kill. The one kill he gets solo, he empties the clip into the guys head and then has to switch to a fusion rifle to finish him. This is misdirection, not proof.
-
He's Lvl 4. Shooting at Lvl 20+s. Go into a new game, go patrol Russia and go down the stairs if you follow the road to the left. Down there are a pair of Lvl 18-ish Elite Hive guys. Shooting them as a Lvl 4 does NOTHING. Them shooting you is pretty much 1 to 2 shots and you're dead. What Iron Banner is is just a fancy version of the standard Crucible, except it promotes quitting when you're losing. Otherwise, there's no difference between fighting a Lvl 4 guy or a Lvl 24 guy.
-
I understand it is not just like PvE, but I personally never thought it would be. I also understand upgraded weapons do more damage, but our armor and health appears equal (not what I was expecting). It is different from normal Crucible, just not the way it seemed it would be. Bungie clearly has a communication problem.
-
I was expecting it to be more weighted like it was in PvE than standard Crucible. What we got right now is just Crucible 2.0, where your gun MIGHT do some extra damage, but it doesn't matter how high your stats are, you're going to be doing the same as Crucible 1.0, except more folks quit because you don't get **** when you are losing in Iron Banner. That's just what the game needed, a more annoying version of the standard Crucible. /sarcasm.
