What?
Iron Banner WAS DESIGNED FOR HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS JUST LIKE THE RAID.
It wasn't designed for low-level players...
Something must be wrong with you if you actually feel Iron Banner should be as accessible to a 5th as a 28th. Like really really wrong.

It wasn't really designed at all was it? But if it was, I'd argue that it was clearly designed to be inclusive considering the damage balancing. There's literally nothing else it could be but either what it currently is, or pointless for anyone under level 28

Sorry, i'm getting dumber reading your posts. I have to stop now.

Sounds like the cowards' cry of "I can't fathom my opinion ever being challenged so I'm leaving"

Edited by Darknal: 10/9/2014 2:53:55 PMIt's ok, he's new to Bungie.net. Also, he jumped to insults immediately to take the attention away from himself not understanding basic game modes and levels. By insulting people, he feels powerful and special, on his computer at home, whilst others are trying to discuss the issue like adults, that he seems not to be.

Edited by R Type: 10/9/2014 3:24:14 PMI'm on my phone in your mom's bed, she makes me feel safe. I understand the mode just fine, I actually understand more than patting insecure butts. You're just imagining something that doesn't exist in the game or you want some kind of big kid's club in crucible that doesn't really mean anything or benefit anybody. it just kind of pats your dick as some kind of affirmation that somebody noticed you stayed inside all week leveling. I mean I'm really not sure what people are expecting with the current kill speeds being what they are. If they're hoping for an entire retooling of PvP pacing the issue is much larger than this. The maps and guns don't support much else but the current meta, but people who don't play PvP regularly wouldn't understand all the little things that make it work and not work. I'd be behind a completely different approach to PvP balance and pacing, the way I'm currently behind your mom.

Childish insults aside, I do agree with you that to be truly skilled is for everyone to be matched in Defence and Attack and see who the best player is. I prefer that game play, which is why I prefer it being as balanced as possible. I am only arguing however, that people want to play a crucible game type that does test how good their random lucky gun drops are against other players who received lucky drops. That's how the game type was sold. Obviously skill is only rewarded to winners who play on a level playing field but this game type is not meant to be about skill is it. More of an unbalanced place to show off your goods, as it was advertised. That is all.

Edited by R Type: 10/9/2014 4:47:39 PMI don't even disagree with you, I just think that's what crucible already is. Perks and increased parameters (like stability and accuracy) on fully leveled legendary guns are at play in every single mode. As far as playing between level 30s is concerned the game is exactly the same either way. All what anyone is asking for currently, however, is to make iron banner a big kid's club with an arbitrary barrier to entry. I think we need to get way more creative and drastic than this to solve the problem because the game isn't going to feel any different with that change, it's just going to exclude random people. My main idea so far is call current crucible the iron banner and make an equalized gear and powers playlist called crucible. Doing things like pinning vehicles at a certain level while making scaling more severe (say 30) or something would affect exactly two maps but would be neat because the high level players could just gun down an interceptor while everyone else cowers, and low level players could hop in them to stand a fighting chance.
