It was SUPPOSED to be unbalanced.
No one forces low level players into the event.
It's another FAILURE.

What good is a public event that is gated by the very top? Seriously you won't get many players playing if it was so lopsided.
What good is a public event that is gated by the very top? Seriously you won't get many players playing if it was so lopsided.
Because it's a DIFFERENT mode from regular Crucible. It's supposed to be for those who have the top end gear. They advertised it as such, and that's not how it is. What's the point of having an event that's identical to what we already have available?

Edited by DeathWyvern: 10/9/2014 3:22:39 PMYou would still have the exact same thing in a matter of days once people realize they've been screwed out of an event with overpowered players in every match or people bailing at the first sight of a number they don't approve of.

Iron Banner was supposed to make gear and levels matter. It's the reason everyone has been raiding and grinding ascendant shards. Many people and I have been busting ass to get our characters as high level as possible before IB came out. Now, we find out we could have been lv 21 and still done just fine. Crucible already exists for what you speak of. This was supposed to be a simple week-long event where your hard work paid. If a 140 lb man knowingly joined a wrestling match with someone who was 250 lbs, he would lose. That's as good of a metaphor for how IB was supposed to be as any.
