(Edited) Absolute proof Iron Banner is complete bullsh*t!
I was making a new warlock and got through the 4th mission or so. I was level 4 with my friends who are all high level like my main. I decided to test Iron Banner because last night I really didn't see much of a difference playing with my lvl 30, it felt like regular crucible. So I joined up with my friends to play some Iron Banner. I was expecting to walk in and get one shotted with an ankle shot, instead I was baffled at what happened. I don't get it either man. I don't understand how iron banner works at all. I'm a level 26 and my level 14 shingen-e can take down guys just as fast, if not faster than my Hard Light with all of the ability modifiers. Even with near perfect headshots from Hard Light. And these two guns have nearly identical characteristic stats so it's a good comparison. However I'm doing worse than i do in regular crucible so there must be some difference. Maybe just the armor difference is all that really matters? It seems like difference in attack is almost null. I wish they would've explained in detail exactly how the system works instead of just "bring your best gear". It's definitely not as clear cut as that and once again, bungie is seeing complaints because they did a poor job explaining and advertising how something works. It should be noted I'm still enjoying the iron banner as it's proved to be a good challenge. I just wish I understood the mechanics of the challenge so I could adjust accordingly.
