Take your level 28-30 character with exotics and legendaries, then go to the Patrol on the Cosmodrome. Go to the area where you scan that ship and sit there. Level 2 characters will shoot at you, you will take damage, and you will die if you sit there. And it won't take very long. Greater gear does not mean invincibility.

Edited by Hiryu69: 10/9/2014 2:49:25 PMDo that same thing with a level 4-8 character, find the hidden lvl 18 Hive after you scan the console(hole in the wall dark area down stairs) use that same gun or any gun up to lvl 8. It wont matter NOTHING you will do will scratch them(didnt in beta or full game as i tried). This is what we were told Iron Banner would be: a mode where level advantages mattered. They dont. No lvl 4 in Iron Banner should be able to touch anyone with legendary armor ESPECIALLY with the starting gun. In PVE your armor has to have light to significantly damage(or at all if your light isnt enough) enemies higher level than you, this is what should happen here. Would this lead to lvl 28-30s easily defeating lvl 20-27s(im a lvl 27 hunter), yes if gear alone was what mattered. But if I play smart enough, fight hard enough I could still get kills it would just be harder and each kill earned would be that much sweeter because my skill would make the difference. I feel as do others i was robbed of this challenge and you should too. Bungie needs to fix this, then extend iron Banner for a week. And if they can get it running as it should, then put it in the crucible playlist PERMANENTLY so PVP has its own endgame.

Ok, now make a brand new character, get to level 4, and join your level 28 friends fire team. Try and play the weekly heroic at max level with your level 4. Let me know how that works out for you. Your argument only works in one direction.

They won't let you launch the weekly heroic with that setup but I see your point. Been there done that. Well actually didn't do that but you get it.
